My apologies if this topic has been discussed before. I'm not looking to stir the pot, or cause trouble but a review a posted has drawn into the direction of this topic and I'm not going to have it drag out where it doesnt belong, so I'm starting a new thread here ;)

I can only speak from my point of view, so ladies I'm looking forward to hearing what you have to say about this matter.

Guys, we all have our own reasons for partaking in this "hobby" of ours. Maybe you're in a loveless marraige. Maybe you don't beleive in marraige, maybe you're a sex addict, maybe you suck at commitment but fuck like a porno star, I don't know. In fact I don't care. The bottom line is when it's all said and done intimacy is handled on a cash only basis. The question for the guys is this

"Do you give any second thought to the consequences of posting a positive or negative review on this board?"

Negative reviews cost SP's money. You don't need a degree in economics to understand that. Should we as clients feel bad if our unfavorable comments or replies put a damper on an SP's livlihood? What if the SP has a kid to feed? A sick parent to take care of? Car payments, tuition, boat payments? What makes her cares and woes so much more important than mine? Food for thought I hope.

Some of us rely on this job to survive, and have no choice in the matter
It was these words that had prompted me to post this thread to begin with. I've got to be completely honest here. I read these words and to be honest, it kind of upset me. I realize that being an escort isn't like Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman. But I'm of the belief that each and everyone of us is where we are in life at this MOMENT solely because of CHOICES we have made. A successful person isn't successful because someone held their hand and showed them the way, they're successful because of the decisions they've made. The same goes for anyone else, drug addict, working man, and so on.

As I mentioned before...I lack insight. Perhaps there are women out there who have no other choice, or feel they have no other choice. What are the options that are out there? Where can a woman go to move in a different direction?

So...ladies and gentlemen...what say you in regard to the dark side of this hobby....

post away.

There should never be the feeling of guilt in retrospect to writing a negative review. This profession is just that "a profession" everyone should be treated with mutual respect, given by both parties. If your an SP and having a bad day... s**t... suck it up, just because you may not be feeling tip-top shape that day, don't let it reflect during your encounters. I can see why many single moms do this, hey its good fast cash, and at aprox. $500 a month for a daycare, many may not have another option. I myself don't want to work 2 full weeks at a minimum/low wage just to cover daycare costs.

For example... You dine at a classy, highly regarded restaurant. You get your meal from nice looking waitress, but she seems a little moody. You get you get your meal.... cold, never get a refill on your drink, and not even what may seem like a friendly gesture by your waitress.
.... You "dine" with an SP. She has the same traits as your waitress... cold, unresponsive, and like your waitress seems like she just wants to get you out as fast as you cum in.

Should one feel differenty as to phone the restaurant to complain, as to call the agency and complain (which many don't do), or the other option of posting on a board such as this. I think not, when a person deals with a service, you walk in with the preconceived notion that you are going to get the service you want and need, and with personal restrictions alotted, that is the service you should get.

I guess thats enough of my ramblings for now...
~Jaz~

After all wouldnt most of you consider SP's some of the best actresses out there....

choices

First off, the odd bad review for a girl who's having an off-day does little to impact her biz. Most guys miss 99% of what's written on perb, in my experience. Besides, reviews are a fact of life in this industry and are about the only thing to keep it honest.

Consistently bad reviews however for an sp means she's not suited to the job and she'll likely not last. Unfortunately, that means she may end up on the street but the comment about not having options is rediculous. This is not some 3rd world misogynist country where women are truly personas non grata. To say women have no options is a slap in the face to the majority of the women in this world who are unable to receive education and are tortured or killed if they desire personal freedom.

Our society breeds weekness and it's just one of negatives that has come with the modern world.

Girls simply get addicted to this lifestyle because it's so damn easy when it works.

I haven't been doing this for very long but it's clear that it's a very damaging choice for most girls...unlike myself who takes great pride in my sluttiness, most of the girls are completely ashamed of what they do cuz their motives and ideas about sex are all screwy. However, it's a free country, thank god and we all have choices.

Trying to be "nice" to someone because you feel sorry for them is simply enabling their bad choices and keeps them enslaved in their dependency.

Whew...i'm not normally this serious...not enough sex lately, i guess! Help!

Miss Veronica Fox stated: "..not enough sex lately...help!"

Man-oh-man...did I ever RUUUNNN to the shower, put on my "only for special occasions" expensive cologne, put on my most expensive threads and shoes, grabbed my "for a great time only" stash from my freezer, and run to the car to help out with Miss Veronica's predicament.

...only to be thwarted by the ddaarrnn SNOW !!!...

..of course, it didn't help that I did not know where to find Miss V.

WOE is me !!!

makes sense

What these ladies say makes a lot of sense. I respect their statements.
I would not write a negative review unless it was obviously a total rip-off. You could be 'taking' customers away from someone who does not really deserve it. Sometimes I wonder about glowing positive reviews too - if a guy had that good a time and it seemed much better than the time I had, then maybe I don't want to visit her again because maybe I did not satisfy her the same amount? Am I being vain, or do we not like to think we get special treatment because we are so fun to be with?

That is where the acting comes in ... some sp's are excellent actresses and make every customer feel they are so special and want to come back. Reading these reviews can be a reality check. One lady told me she has to be a great actress to please her customers as it is part of the job expectation. The girls who do not understand that are probably the ones who start having emotional problems, low self-esteem, dependency on alcohol/drugs, etc. and even thoughts of suicide. I am sure many of us have seen this happen -- sad, very sad. Then there are some who have to move away or lay low and change name because some guys start stalking ...... so sad again!!

I don't know about you guys, but anyone (in this case, Miss Veronica Fox) who makes me get the dictionary to find the meaning of a word (in this case, "mysogynist" and "persona non grata" ) can be MY TEACHER anyday.

I thought at first "miso-gynist" was something one orders in a Japanese restaurant !!! I gotta follow what my mom keep telling me and go back to school. LOL.

In any review in our hobby, the one thing that all us hobbyists should brand into our forheads is YMMV; Your Mileage May Vary! A girl who gets consistently bad reviews may totally turn one guys crank for reasons valid only to him (eg. she looks like a girl he had a crush on in high school, and just being with her is enough), and someone who gets consistently good reviews may just not hit it off with a client(eg. The MP I saw once years ago who was the spitting image of my mom, but 20 years younger). There can be a hundred and one reasons why a session didn't go well, and even more reasons why a session with the same lady will turn you inside out. My advice is to take ALL reviews with a grain of salt, and don't expect the time of your life just because you walked in the door. If I have fun, I'm happy, if she had fun, even better and if I'm lying in a puddle of sweat and vaginal secretions too exhausted to move afterwards, Bonus!

Do you think Siskel & Ebert gave any thought to the actors, directors, producers, movie studios, movie set employees, etc. when they televised a horrible review of a movie? Does the Sun or Province ensure that the restaurant owner that they gave a crappy review to doesn't have any car or boat payments? Of course not. Do you think the last time you complained at a restaurant or retail store about poor service that the person you complained about maybe got fired? Lost the promotion they were vying for? Maybe got demoted and had to take a pay cut? Nope....didn't think so. How is that any different than the reviews that are posted here?

The ladies that take up escorting as an occupation are providing a SERVICE. If they provide a good service, then they should be rewarded for that by good reviews which in turn lead to more clients. OTOH, if a girl provides poor service, well, sooner or later that will come to light in the form of a bad review or two and her clientelle will fall off. She probably won't get many repeats either.

Seems pretty fair to me. Provide good service.....continue to operate, earn more clients, make more money. Provide bad service.......continually lose your clients, eventually end up working in a job that you are suited for.

One last note (then the cynic in me can rest for awhile). Do you think that the SP that just provided you with a shitty time is worrying about the several hundred dollars that you wasted? Doubt it. Is she thinking about the clutch in your car that you could've repaired rather that seeing her? Is she thinking about YOUR children or sick parents that may be doing without because you wasted your money on a shitty couple of hours? Hmmmm....don't think so.

We all deal with this same thing at our own jobs every day. We all gain (and lose) customers, contracts, etc. based on our, or our company's performance. Why should SP's be any different? Competition is a way of life.....the fact that PERB provides us consumers with an outlet to better inform ourselves as to what we are purchasing is a good thing....not bad.
