Okay with the World Cup in town and the usurious rates for the tickets it got me to thinking, is it worth it? And by extension what is worth it? Not a World Cup game for me.

So here’s the question: rank your top 3 something extras you’ve spent your hard earned money on with zero regrets.

What was it? Concert? Sporting event? Trip? Car? House? Collector’s item? Experience? Food? A specific SP you spent a lot on?

For me?

1. Cross Canada Road trip.
Cost about $15K back in the day but I drove across this great land of ours with a GF from here to St John’s Nfld in an old Ford pickup. Lived like paupers in the back of the truck, and like royalty at the chateau Frontenac. Slept in apple orchards under the stars and in motels where I wouldn’t step foot in today. Ate lobster fresh from the trap into the pot in St John’s. Best $15 k I ever spent.

2. SPs
Gawd, I don’t even want to count the thousands of dollars spent on SPs but I regret none of it (okay a few regrets on some really bad sessions 🤣), but for the most part it had led to pretty amazing sex and experiences I would never have had otherwise.

3. Any time I go to Savio Volpe. It’s a bit spendy but the food is always excellent and the room is fun.

Go for it, drop a few humble brags…

1: without a doubt, Expo 86 flight on Concorde. $600 which was a huge amount at the time. I knew it was a once in a lifetime opportunity. Now the Concordes are all gone.
I still have my Expo86 passport with the stamp.

2: Mexican vacation with ATF.

3: 3 weeks in London with same ATF. She paid her own way thank god. That's the greatest city in the world for neat stuff to see.

I spent a fortune on cars, thankfully though these are cars that hold their value. I'm actually "up" from what I paid, but have also spent $100k+ on mods across 3 cars so far. No regrets as I love my toys.

I also dont like to cheap out on vacations. Im not super posh or anything, but always fly business class, stay in nice hotels, and have a budget of $1-2k per day for meals, entertainment, Uber or luxury car rental, etc. Never regretted overspending on a vacation.

The biggest benefit so far though has been hired help. Other people do my landscaping, house cleaning, cooking (or i order out), plus have a nanny and personal assistant. Not having to do this work myself gives me a lot more time back to spend with my family.

I have a fair bit in jewelry as well but only things that hold their value well such as certain Rolexes, and actual gold jewelry. My jewelry is up in value from what I paid so I made money while enjoying wearing some nice stuff.

I consider these spends done so far totally worth:
1) Education
2) SPs, may be worth another house
3) Travel - Did a lot and yes saw SPs from around the world as a perk.
4) Expensive cars are in the blurry area. Sometimes I say, Wow what a beauty, money well spent , While on odd days: wtf, what did I do, I could have seen many more places and providers in the world lol

Travel. I've spent significant amounts on travelling over the years.

Paying for my kids education. Both are now university educated professionals. Worth it.

Cars. Classic and daily drivers, I have a few.

The house. Enough said.

My divorce was the best money I ever spent, to be rid of a toxic and narcissistic witch cost me everything I had at the time, but well spent. The money raising my kid afterwards has been a breeze in comparison and when the child support was finally done, I enjoyed telling her where to go and how to get there.

Travel is always money well spent. Japan, China, Hong Kong, all part of Canada and the USA, Mexico, more tropical islands in the Caribbean than I can remember, the UK with many more to come in retirement someday hopefully soonish.

As for the ladies, there are a precious few that were money very well spent. Great companions, travel with no extra fees beyond the cost of the trip and a few meals and trinkets, amazing bedroom time. There's been a couple that were a nightmare too however, taken advantage of for my generous nature, you have to use both your head and your heart I learned the hard way.

My vasectomy. As I moved into a sugar baby cycle for a bit, it certainly saved me from at least one baby trap attempt I became aware of. Dr. Pollock for the win.

1. Dyna Super Glide Sport (I see that $ every day I open my shop, so it’s not gone.)
2. Divorce Lawyer.
3. Vasectomy.
2&3 are a tie.

Current vehicle. Nothing fancy or posh, just reliable, cheap transportation (change your oil, kids).

Storage locker (seriously). Had this one for decades at a ridiculously low monthly cost with 24 hr. access and power when I need it (and I get to write the whole thing off on taxes).

Certified Professional Accountant ! ! !

A good high end bed. Stupid money at the time but worth every penny for the comfort it provides. And I’m still sleeping on it.

Business Class travel on international flights. I know every seat gets there at the same time, but a decent meal, no one beside me, and a good nights sleep on a lie flat bed makes the trip so much better. And I don’t spend 2 days just recovering from the journey.

And like many of us here, Escorts. I’ve never added up the $$ and I don’t want to, but I’d never have the sex life I enjoy without it. No regrets.

(My vasectomy was covered by provincial health so it cost me nothing other than an ice pack and a few days of sitting gingerly)

The best money I'll 'never' see again, but I see the return every day, is the money I invested in land and development. It has allowed me to do everything else I enjoy.
