It's not often you hear a well-reputed psychologist publicly defend the view, among others, that women are hard-wired to be gangbanged.

If it weren't for my impending Asia trip I'd jump at the opportunity to meet the authors of Sex at Dawn—a brilliant, courageous, subversive, liberating book. It has affirmed me in my sex-positive attitude and made me rethink my bias regarding women's sexual potential.

It's written in a scintillating style that makes it a joy to read. There's probably room to disagree with some of its research findings—but I think this book articulates a perspective every sex-loving person (or sex-haters who persecute SPs and those who hire them) should seriously consider.

If the authors are even half right that our sexuality evolved in group situations, then no wonder that monogamy is the death knell of erotic desire. It's a desperately needed work in an age when men and women in pursuit of sexual fulfillment are still facing immense, largely needless cultural obstacles.
