You just missed it
Watching the Beatles "A Hard Days Night" this morning and I am wondering why they do not make movies like this anymore?

It's a simple movie but it is so much fun and much of that is due to the personalities of the Beatles themselves. The Beatles were able to show that they have personality and at the same time making fun of themselves and making fun of the whole situation of being superstars.

I do not know of any group out there right now that could pull something like this off. Yes, I am sure that there are groups out there that seem to be all good friends and having good times, but, they do not have the charisma that the Beatles had.

Not to put any group down, but, do you really think there is anyone out there that could pull something like "A Hard Days Night" off without looking like jerks. Though other groups have imitated and mocked this movie for individual music videos, but, none of them seem to have the right persona to pull off 90 minutes.

I am sure that there are some out there that could give it a try, like Bare Naked Ladies, but. most could not pull it off.

There are place I remember....

I was born in Birkenhead, England just across the Mersey River from Liverpool and the mania that took over from about 1963 onwards was huge. My aunt tells me that she took me to The Cavern to see them in 1961 but I don't remember anything about it at all. Oh well,..... *sigh*
