Call me old fashioned, but for the life of me I can't understand how young women allow themselves to be referred to as "bitches". I watched a group of teenagers and each guy repeatedly called the girls they were with 'bitch", not in an angry way, but in place of their names. When did a derrogatory insult become an accepted form of address? Not one of the girls protested or showed any discomfort. Is it a lack of self-respect? Fear of the male reaction if they say something? Or just another ghetto reference that kids think is cool? Most of the women I know would kick the asses of those guys if they called them a bitch.

Mindless little airheads.......

The city is infested with 'em.......over-sized sunglasses....cell phone permanently mounted in their ear......if Paris Hilton said it was cool to jump off Wall Centre, they'd be lining up by the hundreds.......

I think it's just the latest ghetto reference. Many girls refer to other girls as bitches as well, but not in a derrogatory manner. They refer to them as their "bitches" like the word "friends." Eg. "My bitchas"... it's said in a different tone and pronunciation though... to differentiate from when they really want to call a girl the derrogatory version. Usually, the friendly way is pronounded "bit-chaas" or "bee-atch" and the derrogatory version is usually just said normally and in a very curt and direct way eg. "YOU BITCH."

I remember on the latest Bachelor, they had a "hooch fest 2005" party, one girl says "welcome to Hooch Fest 2005, bitchaas"

Another example on another board I write on, there is a hot girl that refers to her best friend as her "bee-atch" .. she also refers to guys she's attracted to as "he's one hot bitch!"... so apparently it refers to guys now too... go figure.

Confused yet? I don't make the rules, I just try to understand them. :D

Good question, I think it's basically just that certain females are confident enough with the fact that they aren't bitches or cunts to be called it. My exes nickname for me was slut and I loved it. It was affectionate and I had no complex with it.

Thats just me though...;)
Oh, so that was you in American Psycho 2! ;)

I've found different girls have different reactions to different names so I always ask them what they are ok with. Some girls like to be called a slut, whore, or bitch while talking dirty, but don't like the c word, one other girl liked being called anything except for whore, but pronounced in a certain way... but she was ok with being called a whore if pronounced normally.. another girl was ok with being called everything except a bitch, and then the queen of all sluts was this girl I met in NS that likes being called every dirty name in the book and gets off on it! So just ask the girl what she likes being referred to in bed while engaged in filthy name calling hair pulling spanking rough sex, and once all the ground rules are established, go for it and enjoy! Either that or make sweet romantic love ... there is a time and place for both :D

Must be the same group of ill-mannered fukk heads that were in safeway some time back. The one dip-shit seemed to have some kinda intestinal problem and continuously needed to release gas from his gut through-out the entire shopping experience.

Upon reacing the check out, a final belch was deemed necessary by this fellow to signal his appreciation for his last meal.....I assume.

Unfortunately the other shoppers did not share in his good meal. A reply of ewwwwwwwwwwwwww's and yuks didn't seem to bother him though.

When women say "bitch", maybe they are doing what gays have done for years: co-opt by using them in everyday speech, and therefore render harmless derogatory words such as "fag, homo, queer"...

empowerment

About a year ago, I attended a performance of "The Vagina Monologues" and was very disturbed by one of the monologues in which the "C" word is spoken at least a dozen times. I knew the actress and went backstage and asked her if she didn't find it uncomfortable to say that awful word so much.

She said it was hard at first, but after a bit, she found that saying the word actually empowered her. In much the same way as black people using the "N" word, I suppose. Their use of those words, which had been used to degrade so many for so long, takes all of the impact and hate out of them.

I imagine that this must also be true of other words, like "bitch", "slut", or "skank".

As I slowly approach middle age, I affectionately refer to my SO as 'bitch' on a regular basis, like a pet name. When I do, I am usually greeted with a big smile and some sugar. :D
As for the teens, remember, they did not grow up in the same environment as us, and language tends to evolve over time. Take the word 'ass' for example. I remember when it could NOT be said on t.v. Now it shows up in Saturday morning cartoons. In the case of the word 'bitch', they don't view it as derogatory. Its simply a slang way to address a friend. And all that much cooler when it elicits a negative reaction from 'old folks' like us.

Dude, you have been banned in the past for making inflammatory and racial comments.

You really aren't a fast learner, are you?

And not that your going to understand this, but YOU cannot be empowered by using the words you mentioned above. White men are the reason that those words became the vile epithets that they are.

You, however, can be empowered by the liberal use of the word, "cracker."

As one who belives that sexuality as beautiful as are body parts I am offended by such gutter trash language. Why not call a vagina a vagina, a penis a penis, etc. I don't believe in making sexuality or our wonderful body points made out to be dirty and using such slang - simply shows to me low level of intelligence and abiltiy to communicate as respectful adults.

My soapbox I'll climb down from....before I'm pushed off it.

Ok since I've already been accused worldwide for being stupid, I'll take the liberty to tell you some of my favourite names for "vagina":

Coochie - as in, "here coochie coochie!"

Chihuahua - as in, "how's my little chihuahua today? Sore from eating too much sausage?"

Snapper - as in, "nice little snapper you got there hon, keep it tight for daddy ok?"

Somehow using "vagina" just doesn't "fit". But it would be kinda fun to use it as a pet name for an SP., as in: "Hey guys, have you seen The Vagina lately?"

So you say sexuality is beautiful and all... but "beautiful" takes many forms, not just the stereotypical ones. So I think it fitting that these words exist. Not every woman can be "wonderful" or "pretty" or "sensuous" or whatever. Box up a girl and she starts acting like cardboard. Sometimes you just want to be with her cuz she's a real cunt, or a fucking bitch, or a sleazebag.

I haven't quite figured you out yet... first, I thought you really were a moron, then you kinda lightened up and I thought you were funny... then I thought you were a fan of bush... then I thought you were anti-bush mocking him... then you got banned for saying some stupid things... now you're back... I don't have time to read thru all your posts, but the ones I do read I usually find somewhat entertaining... one thing that I DO KNOW, you definitely play your PERB character to a tee! Good job! :D

Okay, I can see a SO calling someone a skanky name in private as a pet name, and I can see girls calling each other the names to co-opt them, BUT, I think it crosses the line when guys refer to girls as bitch or cunt in public, with friends, or in my example where strangers hear it. But, maybe that was the intent - kids so cutting edge they try to shock those around them by acting like morons. Just think the girls should have bigger vaginas (is that the female equivalent of bigger balls?) and tell them to zippit. Girls don't realize they have the pussy and therefore all the power. Also goes for when they are with guys who drive like idiots. Hey girl, it's your life, your looks and your mobility he's putting at risk. Just speak up and tell him he's cut off if he doesn't brighten up. Amazing how that can get a guy's attention.

"That was some of the best flying yet, right up to the part where you got killed." - Jester

Ok, I was agreeing with everything you were saying... calling a lady a bitch or cunt or any other name in public is completely unacceptable... but what's with the girls have all the power bullshit? A relationship is a PARTNERSHIP... each brings something to the table... nobody should have "all the power" (unless both parties mutually agree to that I guess). Sounds like somebody got pussywhipped early in his mating career... Some girls are also turned on by occasional fast aggressive yet non life-threatening driving. A skillful demonstration of the mating of man and machinery can often result in said woman wanting to use her mouth for a little manual "tune up" on the man/machine system. Time and place for everything as I'd say :).

If you don't think the owner of the pussy doesn't have all the power why do you think this site exists? Most men will do/say/pay anything to get some.

I am not sure whether to take those remarks seriously.

Are you considering a sex change?

I have gone a whole week w/o pooning & it feels good.

It was easy & my bank account is also happy.

Who knows the future, but maybe i will retire.

Maybe women {free or bought} are more trouble than they're worth.

Like James Spader said on Boston Legal, when he is alone
the sex & conversation are better.

Put me on the moon with my computer, TV, & a bottle of corn oil
& come back in 10,000 years.
