Has anyone caught the human pile of shit known as Jonathan on The Amazing Race? This guy's teammate is his wife, a former Playboy Playmate and he has been verbally assaulting her on camera from the first episode. A couple of times he raised his hand to her and she flinched and finally last week she broke down in hysterics after her screamed at her and pushed her, almost knocking her down. I hope the producers haven't selected him for his "entertainment value", but you have to wonder a someone's mentality to do what he's doing on camera. If anyone wonders what an abusive relationship is you only had to listen to her explain after the assault -"That's just the way Jonathan is." Pathetic. The producers should have bounced this guy from the show after the assault.

I am absolutely hooked to the T.V. when this show is on. I got a friend of mine to watch it with me last night, and she couldnt believe it herself, how absolutely rude, demanding, and arogant this guy was. The day is coming where one of the others is gonna get pissed enough to knock him out (hopefully soon). The guy never wants to take responsibility for anything. Come on.... gettin mad because of something she didn't do, but was not told his idea in the 1st place. The chick aint a frickin' mind reader. And yea, anyone ever notice how lazy this guy is??? He had her pushin those hay bails.. what a jerk!! Good thing each person can only do so many "road blocks" or he'd have that pretty lil thing doin them all I bet.
Too bad it isnt open to Cdn. residents. Not normaly being an agressive peron, I would throw my chance away at the money, cause someone like that, I would have to pop in the mouth for talkin to his wifey like that. Im just waitin for the episode that shows her quitting an giving him his divorce papers.

My favourite part of the show last night was when the cab driver (the first cab) in Budapest kicked him out of his cab because of his constant whinning. I hope someone soon pops him one - maybe his wife will. One can hope. 
i've never been a fan of the show but watched it last week and flipped when he pushed her at the finish line ... i thought the producers would have some balls and throw the guy out of the game!

The Amazing Race 6's resident obnoxious, spouse-abusing bad-boy Jonathan Baker blames the editing (and Red Bull) and says that he's not really the dickhead that we've seen on our TV screens. "The editing wasn't kind to me, was it? They used everything bad that was there. Victoria and I are like any married couple, we fight sometimes, but not like that. ... We do love each other. But the way we're represented, I'm abusing her," he tells the Providence Journal. But wait! He also actually blames himself, which either shows media-induced schizophrenia or remarkable self-awareness. "I did this to myself. I went in wearing crazy colors. I didn't want to play the nice guy. I wanted to be colorful and over-the-top. I didn't want to be just nice. It wouldn't be fun. It wouldn't get any attention. ... if you just be real, it will be boring. If you take it to a heightened level, it will be interesting," he says.

i'm no fan of boyd either but he agreed to pay for bluebear to build his own street rod and get paid for doing it! all he did then was diss boyd at every turn until boyd finally fired the dumbass!stickdoctor said:

Jonathan's apologies in the newspaper don't mask the fact he doesn't fight with his wife - he screams at her/she takes it. That's not a fight. Also - the editing can only make you so bad - you have to take it the rest of the way yourself. His apologies on the show always about him - never directed towards her. He kept berating the older black dude for taking "his" seats on the airplane, when the guy was just smarter. I'd like to see him go after Bolo with that attitude.
I think that this asshole's behaviour and his wife's acceptance of it is learned over time. I would bet that when they first met and he would have lifted his hand she would not have cowered like in the show. For people to get this messed up it takes years of practice. Years of him being a prick and years of her taking it. Unfortunatly this only makes it worse and harder for her and him to overcome this stupidity. With any luck, one day she will snap on his ass and leave him.

what you see is a heighten version of stress and obsession mix with medication for a sickness called Sarcoidosis. What was started as a Publicity Stunt turn in to an obsession to race and be first at any cost. This is a GAME and I set out to be the Villain to others not to Victoria. Victoria and I are working on our relationship to better our self and learn from our mistakes. I am taking full responsibly for my actions on screen. Please allow me to make the effort.
I am deeply saddened by the storyline that CBS went with. I am sorry for my actions, I am sorry to Victoria. Most all I am sorry to the Fans of the Amazing Race.
