I think part of it has to do with privacy as well. They don't use their real name, so it would make sense that the age would not be authentic either

That's a good point, I never thought of that. That would be a legitimate reason to fudge ones age. However, I get the feeling that in most cases, that's not the motive.

Does SP age arithmetic work the same for guys?

Most ladies do lie about their age because the 'lie factor' is sort of built in. If a lady says she is 31, most gentlemen are going to think she is really 39-45 (because 'everybody' lies about thier age)....therefore she advertises as being 25, and 80% of the gentlmen will assume her age correctly. If a lady honestly advertises as 42, most gentlemen are going to assume she is in her 50's. She lies and says she is 35, and most gents are going to assume her age correctly.

I do the math

it is not that i am great with guessing age and definitely not going to ask or tell a lady you look 35 i may be off.
But afew Sp's I saw ,One a girl friend soon after .. said 29 and she was 38.. so were others .. Only thing with older ladies i find they have a lot more experience then me .. I am 54 and never lived... And also the ladies have a lot of baggage..
I am not good with handling being blamed for all the things other guys have done.. i have not done any thing. i all way treat everyone with respect and try my best not to use people.. even Sp's.. The sex part is not alway necessary.. but i would like it.
These days i find the one that works best for me is one girl 24 that is honest and mature for her age most of the time i am still a kid at heart.
AS for the math.. I just notice how long some have been on the board .. and what they talk about.. and you some can tell they are older then advertised.. but if they look good and have a nice personality .. it does not matter.. and i should be good all the way from 20 to 50
