Canada is now going to build Battleships something like 10 plus in accordance with new white paper, to include forces for amphibious assaults and humanitarian operations. Something completely useless in warfare today... Based on the US Montana class with 4 18" triple turrets and 2X vertical missle load of heavy cruisers, mixed in with 6 8 inch automatic secondary guns - range 200 km guns. Air defence 6- 76mm guns with 8 Ciwis- 30 mm, and 4 new 50mm Gatling guns. 3D array radar in 4 bands. Assortment of flying drones for over the horizon control of gunnery and early warning missle attack, satellite uplinks to military satellites. 6 RAM launchers... Dimensions 1200 by 170 ft. (fits within new panama locks) Nuclear reactors, and steam turbines. Modern composite armour to be used behind conventional armour, making it impenetrable to hypersonic missles and rail guns...
And then the new secret weapon against rocket torpedos; the old hedgehog system which drops down on the torpedo killing it 500 yds from battleship. The thing about these ship will be the room and future capability to have rail guns (lots of electrical power) and lasers. Reduced manning with introduction of automation... But the most important thing is the removal of the autocrat, with his head shoved so far up his bosses ass....
Next: New Canadian Aircraft Carrier Catamaran... carrying up to 200 aircraft and can only be docked in an US port as Canada's are much too tiny....
