It might be that you're retiring at a good time, Mr. Green. It'll be interesting to see what this industry looks like in a year or two. It could be that you'll end up being on the vanguard of a mass exodus from the hobby - nobody knows…
All rumblings out of Ottawa would indicate that the Tories plan to proceed with the Nordic Model legislation, which would make it illegal to purchase, but not sell, sexual services. The minister has indicated that he would like to proceed with this sooner rather than later, now that their pretence at public consultation is out of the way. What we know with certainty is that the Conservative government does not have a track record of heeding expert advice in any given area, including environmental science and the new Elections Act. They've given no indication that they're looking seriously at any other sex-trade model. (Link to Free Press article:

I wonder how many people participating here would be in a position where they would continue to accept the risk under new legislation, with threat of potential L.E. stings, arrest and public humiliation, mandatory "John School", fines and/or jail time.
Personally I've got a 'plan B' involving ongoing contact with people I already know and trust, but my contact with new individuals might well diminish to nothing. I don't really know, but likely none of us do.
Enjoy your other hobbies in retirement, Mr. Green. For those of us still involved in this hobby, we should enjoy life to the fullest while we can. In a year or two we may find ourselves looking back fondly on these times.
