Perb works!

Had a new client yesterday - a model client.

He followed my contact instructions and passed my screening process with flying colours.

He pre-booked in advance, arrived on time, put his donation on the counter as soon as he was in the door, and offered to take a shower.

I was thinking to myself, 'this guy must be from perb, and he's obviously got a lot of experience doing this, because he does it very well.'

I never ask clients if they're board members, because I respect their privacy, but when I inquired as to where he found my ad, and he said he found me here on perb, I told him I figured he was a perbie because he did everything right. :clap2:

He said he's been lurking here for years, that his appointment with me was his first time ever, and he credits perb for knowing what to do, and how to do it. :nod:

Yes! Thank you escapefromstress for articulating what I've always felt and what I find to be the case 99 times out of 100. The best clients may not be active board members, but they certainly do their homework. They contribute to the board by keeping good SPs in business; we continue to pay to advertise here because it's a good investment of time & energy!

I've notice this too. I get a lot of new guys and first timers.

Many of the new people follow every single protocol to a t and even bring follows or a small gift


So I've been very impressed with booking conduct of some newbies and asked them if they did any research to which they responded " yes lots on perb."

I congratulate them and tell them if they keep up exactly what they did with me then they should have no problems at all and girls will be happy to see them on repeat visits.

This is also how the younger ones sneak through to see me. I have an age limit ( I've got reasons) however the occasional get through and they do based on the excellent manners in which they book me.

Their words have been and I known you Erica have had the same, was that they figured if they were super polite and respectful and followed all the rules properly and conducted themselves well that I would be nice and let them stay.
They too read from perb and educated them selves

The younger ones I've seen spent alot of time reading up on how to be the best client which is actually quite funny when compared to the other older newbies who finnaly mustered up enough balls to call and didn't read a up on a single thing. ---- I'll tell you it's a box of chocolates

(Don't get ideas younger ones - Im not always nice, and there's no gaurantee )

Perb really does a lot for potential clients out there, which in turn does wonders for us.

So yes thank you to all the lurkers out there who do their homework !!
And they do in fact contribute to this board by keeping us in business as Erica pointed out !!! I've seen many lurkers and have many lurker regulars and I'm pretty sure it's safe to say that most of us have more lurker regulars than we have prominent board members regulars.

As well as security and safety first and foremost. I take the time to explain to all my newbies how perb can keep them safe from the not so nice seeds off other add sites. I go into my own account and show them the access they can have and how to search phone numbers and where to asks questions to help protect themselves. I've delt with quite a few ( newbie sweethearts ) who have gone through bad experiences and had no clue there was a way to better protect themselves.

Broader Community Promotion of Sex Worker Services

So there have been a good number of respectful and informed newbies showing up. The next question is, how do we find and encourage more of those new clients? There must be many out there who never quite build up the nerve to arrange a visit.

How about posters around town inviting potential clients to vist a web site with introductory info and links to PERB and backpage? It might be good for business and it might fight stigma by bringing sex work out to the broader community. There might also be some push back but if you work to change things you are bound to offend someone. Many places it wouldn't work and some places like New Zealand it wouldn't be needed but Victoria and Vancouver may be the best places in Canada to do something like this.

I think it's a matter of marketing - too many guys have a negative image of sex workers unfortunately. Bill C36 doesn't help either since it criminalizes clients.

yes I agree a lot of the perberts are excellent to deal with and painfree...painfree booking is like, not answering a confirmation with another question such as "accompanied shower", or...when you're supposedly supposed to be close by and getting the address, don't ask at that moment if she can wear this or that, asking restrictions or for a quicky rate, these people usually end up no-showing or cancelling or causing a big fuss so I just ignore. Anyone who uses paragraphs in their messages for bookings is usually a red flag. Straight to the point, painless, and quick response texts are the best. Handing over donation without having to ask or standing there waiting in the corner all awkward while he is already undressing...can't tell you how many times I've had to send them back to their wallets butt naked and me fully clothed lol. And the most annoying one, "are your pictures real"?, and asking stuff thats already posted on my ad...hmm, I get that sometimes the page isn't open but usually those types are a WOT, i dunno why but that behavior is always connected to the wot types
