As the title says, thank you for fixing the chatroom. It is a great feature that I wish more of you would use.

Chat has never worked for me...I have given up.

It was mentioned in another post about chat that if you have Norton or whatever anti virus/security, just disable it for a minute then log into chat and then enable it back up once yer in....it works for me.

Login failed - you must log in from the review board message board.

I`ve found that the Symantic (Norton AV, Norton Internet Security) products do weird things to the browser`s ability to accept session cookies.

There is a big difference between accepting a persistent cookie that does usage tracking and reports on you to a session cookie that just maintains your login while you cruise the various frames on a web site.

I`ve also found that IE7 makes it very hard to move around this site.

That`s the reason that I use Firefox to login on this site. I know I`m secure because my AV still checks everything that loads from the site. I can specifically allow session cookies and disallow persistent cookies and my firewall and search and destroy are still up.

If you are currently using IE7 or had IE7 and uninstalled it to roll back to IE6.2, try using firefox. Even if IE6.2 was working for you before you tried IE7, when IE7 uninstalled it left it`s version of some files behind. Since IE6.2 will work (sort of) with these files, it`s not immediately apparent that the problem is related to the security stuff that MS put into IE7.

I personally no longer use Norton, but it`ll work OK with firefox.

I use both, & also only have IE6 installed. Same w/ both browsers.

Bottom line is it don't work for me, & I don't have this problem w/ other sites chat boxes.

I think the descriptive term I'm searching for is "rinkydink"
