Texting apps

Just curious how many on here use texting apps when reaching out to the ladies?, as well as the scammers, cant forget them since there's more of them then actual legit ads.

I've been using a TextNow for years ever since some provider replied with my name, asking if my family would like to know who I was texting when I had used my real number.

It also comes in handy when you get those bullshit threatening texts saying you've been wasting their girls time and demanding money. I've literally gotten those kinds of texts when the only girl I had messaged the whole day I had only said "hey". Yeah retard, really wasted their time there. If you're you gonna scam, I'd imagine it would help if you had a functioning cerebral cortex.



But anyway, is this the standard for the rest of you guys? Do you use texting apps? or your real number?

I use a real number & I've had that happen 3 or 4 times over the years. So far at least they've always been empty threats. I think this is actually a common scam on Leo, post a fake ad, and any numbers you get responses from just respond with a "would you like your family to know?" and I'm sure there'll be some who fall for the trap.

More on topic: a lot of girls will ignore texts from apps like TextMe, so if you're really concerned then a 2nd phone is your best bet (obvious downside being cost).

Some ladies have 3-4 cells and they also use texting aps to cover all multiple ads some ladies use.

Im considering using a second phone for this purpose. All I would really need is a cheap pay as you go type thing. There is no way in hell I'm using my real phone number. I have had a few providers tell me to text them from my real number after reaching out with TextNow. I politely refuse, wish them well and move on.

Also use an app. Seems more and more won't communicate through them. Sucks cause it really limits choices. I get the security thing on their side but there's the privacy part on ours. I will offer email, PERB account, FetLife, etc.. to show real but most don't care. I wish there was a better way than getting another phone but seems there is not.

It does suck. I feel like SPs lose out too because most guys with anything substantial to lose (decent career, maybe more expendable cash, etc) would probably skew them more towards a higher end client base too.

I get the safety aspect, but right now it seems like clients have to take major risks of blackmail, ID theft etc just to make initial contact with an SP who might not even be who she's advertised to be.

I'd happily pay for a social, non sexual engagement fee like a 15-20 minute coffee somewhere public for an SP to vet me rather than using my real phone number and sending an ID they could easily use to find my home address.

It's not like text apps are event particularly anonymous. In the case of a crime, they can be compelled to hand over your real info to law enforcement. It's a pretty low bar to hop, IF something criminal were to occur.

Girls do it for their safety and don’t accept txt apps period. If you don’t like it then don’t use it !! You seem to have your reasons and all good points. We all make choices and yours are limited now and stick to well reviewed SP’s or girls that accept txt apps ?? Or don’t poon then !! Pretty simple

We have covered this about 100 times. Either follow her screening procedures or don't book. this includes the use of text apps.
