Text Upon Arrival

Is it not common practice when arriving at a massage shop, to text the masseuse that you have arrived and then wait for the response to either come in or wait?
Doesn't this give the shop/masseuse time to prepare either the room, herself or both? Not to mention the angst of walking by another "client".

I typically advise when I'm there and ask them to tell me when they're ready for me to come in. Mostly so any other clients are done and gone or kept in their massage room.
