I've noticed that fewer and fewer SPs are using the terms that I've grown used to, it makes it really hard to find something specific, tried searching bbbj on leolist and nothing comes up. why is that? are these terms outdated or are they somehow getting in trouble for using them? Are there new terms we should be using?

Everything changed when the new prostitution laws were enacted about two and a half years ago. It's illegal for advertising venues to allow advertisements of overt sexual services. You'll still see ads on LL and BP where advertisers get around it by posting using odd character combinations as "code" but there aren't any consistent code strings that you'll be able to search.

Leolist implemented keywoard filtering a few years ago. Advertisers cannot include certain keywords in their ads, including those common abbreviations.

They have a workaround by misspelling / changing it. No standard unfortunately. You can see things like 666j or bebebejay, ms0g, D@TY, C1M, and many variations of such.
