Big letters EVICTED! DO NOT SEND MAIL HERE written on the envelope.
I kept getting mail at my place from the TD Bank for some guy. I called the bank and told them I have been here for 2 years and have no clue who this guy was. I asked them to stop sending his mail to me.
They told me that HE has to stop his mail from coming to this address. A few months went by and mail still kept coming from the TD Bank for this guy. I kept writing MOVED, RETURN TO SENDER, but the mail kept coming. My husband took the mail to this guy's branch and asked for the manager. The manager came out and my husband handed him a stack of mail and said, "We have asked you numerous times to stop sending this guy's mail to our house. If I get anymore mail for this guy, I will bring it down and shove it up your ass." The mail has stopped arriving. It was so bad that we were getting mail for this guy every second day. Now we only got one piece of mail which looked like a license renewal envelope. So I'm guessing he still carries a license with our address on it.

Capital One !!!

HOW THE HELL DO YOU GET RID OF CAPITAL ONE?

They phoned me one time and I said I was sooo glad they called because I want them to stop sending me junk mail. Every day I get some kind of crap from them. I told the gal on the phone, I don't want a Capital One card, I don't need a Capital One card and I will NEVER get a Capital One card. Take me off your list, PLEASE!

She said fine but it will be about a month before your name is removed. Good.

Well, here we are a year later and I'm getting MORE.

call him and pretend he won something.. maybe a free trial at fitness world.. they give out lots every month.. swindle his new address and write it on the letters.. mail them back, and take all your collected information with his first and last name.. with photocopy id if you still have that too.. down the post office.. and see what they can do for you.. he did not do a change of address.. they need to update that !!!:)

its like telemarketing.. they say that they take you off the list.. but thats only until they finish the numbers in that area.. then all of their data is refreshed as new and they start all over again !!! it sucks... somehow they even get your personal private cell phone numbers too.. I get calls at least once a month

Get a metal garbage can and paint the old tenants name on it so the mailman/girl will put his mail in there. Then, every Friday, just as the mail is being delivered, set it on fire.

Seriously, call the post office. There MUST be something they can do. Unfortunetly it will probably take as long to resolve as my scenerio with CAPITAL ONE! See above.

HOW THE HELL DO YOU SPELL CHECK HERE?

Reminds me of this news item I heard on the radio a couple of days ago:
Some guy had been stealing cell phones.
So the cops call one of the phones, the guy answers and they tell him he won a case of beer, they just need his address to deliver it. :p
Apparently the guy was intoxicated when they got there, go figure.
I bet they didn't even bring him the beer;).

if you had the guy's bank info and his license renewal
you could have gone to his bank and taken out a huge
loan in his name ...

Tell the person to change their address, give them an appointed amount of time, throw away their mail if you keep getting it. That's what I would do with mail from residents that have been out for a very long time. Still need to give them notice and adequate time to prevent legal suites though.
