I have been with Telus Mobility for about 15 years and have been frustrated with the rates. The promised lower rates talked about in the media do not seem to be showing up.

I am on the talk 100 plan which gives me 1000 minutes and month for $100 plus a few extras. I always get a basic phone and so am never on a contract. I called the recently to see if they could do something about my rates and initially they said no but with a little pushing offered me an additional 250 minutes per month and free text messaging at no extra charge.

Seems they can be flexible if you suggest you may want to move elsewhere and ask what they can do.

Just passing this on.

I thought that was pretty much a "given".
A lot cheaper to keep an existing customer than to go out and replace that customer with another one.

Same basic idea goes with employers/employees. It is a lot cheaper to keep a good employee than replace and train a new good employee. Crappy employees are a dime a dozen

Request to speak to the loyalty dept when u call. They are much more flexible than their own renewal/customer svc line.
