Teachers mocked teen for Being Canadian....

I typed this straight from Friday edition of 24 Hours Vancouver

A mother pulled her grade nine son out of a private school in Watertown, NY alleging staff bullied him for being Canadian.

Noah, 15, told a local FOX affiliate that his teachers and principal at Faith Fellowship School in Watertown, NY cracked jokes about his Canadian heritage.

"He would make fun of the way I dressed and he'd say "Oh, you`re dressed in Canadian colours" and I would be like "Yeah, I am thanks Mr. Curinga:, the boy told FOX TV of his principal.

"Then he'd say "That wasn't a compliment".

His mother alleged staff refused to meet with her.

"No one wanting to sit down and discuss things that were said and done and how a child was feeling". Tina Kilaptrick told the TV Station .

The school would not comment on the Ottawa-born teenagers allegations.

i always like to look at both sides of the story for motivations to try to explain seemingly illogical behaviour

a clue might be the butchering of the english language by the teenager in question as highlighted above

the christian private school just might have higher standards than the lad's speech indicates he is capable of, and the reason for his mother withdrawing him could have been that he was failing many of his classes

now she wants to make the school look bad rather than admit she's raised a fuck-up for a son

just sayin'...

You guys realise American hates ALL immigration right? Not just non-whites. They don't like Canadians anymore than Brits anymore than Mexicans. That being said, it's obviously completely inappropriate for staff to do this to a child - but I'm not even the slightest bit surprised. Hopefully appropriate action can be taken against the employee. Religious schools are the worst too, I went to one and boy howdy.

Doesn't it go both ways though? Y'all hate Americans - it's really simple to see Canada/USA are frenemies and only because of proximity. Y'all like the cheap gas and milk too much to not go The ones who are like "wait til the economy collapses" I sure hope you don't go to Bellingham to swarm milk, because y'all are the reason Bellingham is even as nice as it is! That city would be destitute without Canadians lol. If you don't support USA, stop putting money in it and improving economy.

I <3 America long time, they brought us iPhones, google, xbox, NFL football, the Final Four, hamburgers, fried chicken and HBO. Also Trader Joes is lovely but kind of hard to find.

The difference is that here, unless the clothing contravened uniform dress code, nothing would be said. Also, one or the other would likely cause a fuss over the comment if they found out about it.
