Funny you should mention that. I am considering a dragonfly tattoo because they are considered symbolic of rebirth and renewal. When I heard those three beautiful words from my surgeon's lips "It's not cancer" about the egg-sized tumour removed from my throat, my life began to change.

Absolutely Not! I find every tattoo has a story. I find them a thing of beauty.
Tattoos are a person form of expression that you have to share with the world.
I have 2 tattoos , both are not visible unless my shirt is removed.
See Tattoos on a SP is nothing that would stop me from seeing them. I am a business professional but I also Ride a Harley so TATS are a thing of beauty.

Would you put a bumper sticker on a Bentley??? Lol for men, it doesn't make a difference to me either way, for other ladies, they do what they must and it doesn't make a difference to me, for myself, no way, not ever in a million years... I would feel scarred or stained....

The Don'ts outnumber the Do's by a big margin however, so, IMO it probably is not a good business decision for an SP to get them.
Certainly, when it comes to models doing art/soft porn shoots, having tats is a strong negative. Those that have them will often apply body makeup to cover up so they can get work. The girl shown in the picture above for example probably gets far fewer assignments and gets paid a lower rate than she would otherwise be able to get if she had no tats.

I think you're speculating quite a bit.
I've seen tons of nude models with body art, and almost every porn star I see has tattoos.
I have a large back tattoo that's a art nouveau painting. I've never received anything but compliments on it, and even people who dislike tattoos quite liked it because it's tasteful and well-done.
I'd say most people don't mind either way as opposed to being firmly in a yes/no camp.
You are so right on that count. Having been a cover girl/centerfold 3 times and having 2 shows on HBO, and having some beautiful tattooed girlfriends I know first hand that it is much much much more difficult to get jobs when you have tattoos. A lot of magazines won't hire you because of the extra expense and effort of having to cover it all up. There are exceptions, of course, but as a general rule you are right. A lot of girls that are in the magazines with tattoos are featured because of their tattoos, and that's a rare occurrence unless, of course, it's a tattoo magazine. I can't speak on porn stars because I know nothing about that industry, but from my understanding they are much less discerning than the print magazines, especially the big 3 (Playboy, Hustler and Penthouse)

Not speculating. That is how it is. I used to follow the glamour/soft core porn scene a lot, and tattoos are generally regarded negatively there.
Girls with some discrete ink can get work because it is relatively easy to cover up small areas with body makeup, or position her so it doesn't show, but if those that have full pictures on their body will have issues. There are a ton of girls out there looking for modeling work and photographers will just choose an unpainted canvas. You can get some work with obvious tattoos, but it mostly it is for assignments that want to portray a hard edge, and there isn't exactly a huge market for that.

THe best tattoo I've seen Im pretty sure Ive seen on two different women. The Golden Mean. Beautiful and can speak volumes.... I love asking what tattoos on people mean. Generally there must be something pretty meaningful in them to tattoo it on your body forever.Or perhaps the meaning it takes on later is what is most significant.
