I help from well anyone.
I'm looking to get some tattoo work done and am looking for a shop preferably New West and east with artists that do realism very well.
I've previously had work done in north van but the shop has changed ownership/artists and the current portfolios don't reflect what I'm looking for. So the drive from Surrey area isn't worth the trip.
Can anyone recommend a shop and artist with a strength doing animals.
I know of the big name places like the Dutchman but I'm sure there's others that may be just as good.

You input is appreciated.

I have a lot of friends that love Sacred Heart on Granville... I wouldn't know first hand, no bumper stickers on the Bently, but the work I've seen vome out of there on others is beautiful..

I suggest you find a decent tattoo artist and then search for tattoo designs on tattoofinder.com The website
has a plethora of designs by a lot of great artists and when you purchase a design you are able to download
and print it including the line work. This makes it a lot easier for your selected tattoo artist do do his/her thing and actually saves you cashola as the artist does not need to trace out the line work.

I have a fair bit of work that was done at Sacred Heart... I have always been happy with the level of talent their artists have. I would also suggest searching Kay Abbott in Vancouver, he has some awesome skills and ideas... I believe he has a website if you just google his name.
Definitely find the artist who is proficient in the style you are looking for and design a tattoo *with* them. I would not suggest purchasing flash ahead of time unless its really something you are in love with. When you work with an artist, they create something specially for you, that will never be reproduced. Bringing in a picture of what you want to give them an idea is also helpful. Also, I have never been charged for design time and I have fairly extensive work done on my body... Maybe some places are different, but I have yet to come across this...

Have fun and good luck finding your artist!

Thanks. I have a concept already and found a picture of some finished products on Pinterest. It's just a matter now of finding the artist that has proficiency doing this type of design.
I may need to go have a visit at Sacred Heart.
