Tanya's leaving Calgary and I'm not impressed

What the hell, heres my 2cents.
I've not visited many out-of-town SP's but would like to recount a couple of instances,
One time I had setup an apointment via e-mail, several back and forth messages concluding with her saying she'd send me an e-mail with hotel/room number when she arrived. Well I was busy the day of the apointment and didn't have access to a pc most of the day, I checked my e-mail an hour before the apointment and no new messages. I sent her a quick note but had to leave the pc and didn't get a chance to recheck my e-mail till later. When I did she had replyed, basicly as far as she knew she sent me the contact info, I never saw it but did get her reply. To her I was a no- show, but I really had wanted to meet her!.
I had the pleasure of visiting Willow while she was in town, however when I first called her and left my phone number in her VM I must have been mubbeling because she was off by one number. I wasn't going to let this happend again, I called and left a second message and all was well. Again close call, and both of us where doing our best.
In the first case I should have tried the ladys number, but it was my very first atempt to book a SP. Live and learn. Luckly things worked out with Willow.

I was planning a trip out there
This makes me nervous.....not sure if I want to visit now. I have been posting in Vancouver about this problem & recently have added a $100 deposit to reserve dates over 2hours & planned over a week away to alleviate the timewasters. The pattern I am experiencing is out-of-town-gents emailing weeks ahead, emailing back & forth etc & then cancelling a day or two ahead. Appreciate the notice, but it doesn't make up for lost wages when I have turned down other dates & planned accordingly- I do this very part-time.
As for no shows, I get very few - one in Vancouver on my last trip - I ALWAYS make a point of asking them to phone if they can't make it for whatever reason.
This is one of my business' & I take it seriously & handle it professionally.
How do we collectively work out the kinks with this?? I refuse to accept it as normal business practice.

well, I am a bit shock to hear about this... Our agency travel to many cities all the time and cancellation are normal in a ratio of 1 or 2 on 15 for us but more than that will be kind of abnormal...
We always ask for phone number, sometimes cell, sometimes work number, depending on the city... I am very tempted to ask for work phone number now since it the best way to verify the identity of the person who tried to book with you. This is the way we do it in every US city and it work very well.
In anycase, cancellation happen on both side and it is not fun for anybody but I think it is much more preparation, organisation and fees for the touring ladies than you gentlemen, especially the ladies coming from far.
In anycase, I hope it will not be the case for Rebecca because we will not send anybody else after that if it is not going well for her...
I think the ladies should make a list that they could share privately regarding the guys who always cancel. It could be a good way to prevent this.
Anyway, hope that everything will be o.k..

What About Edmonton?
So Maxine. You still haven't answered the question of weather you will be sending some of your fine ladies to Edmonton as well. There is an abundance of horny guys in E-town who believe in honoring their appointments or at the very least calling well ahead of time to make a cancellation.
We have a very large French speaking community here, so we will make Rebecca feel right at home. I myself is a cunillinguist. Oops Sorry. I meant multilinguist.

Maxine: I think the lack of response in your Edmonton thread is due to some lazy copy-and-pasting. Your mention of a "Calgary mailing list" in the Edmonton section resulted in some confusion on whether or not your girls were coming to Edmonton or if we had to travel to Calgary to see them. I would advise you to clarify this in your Edmonton thread and mention the "Edmonton mailing list" thing there asap. I also had another concern about your mailing list that I posted in your Edmonton thread, which I hope you will address.

Easter Break Visit
Well, gonna give it another chance and come down during the Easter Break, probably on a Wednesday and Thursday. Let me know what dates work for you guys and I'll book accordingly. Thanx again for all the support and I will email everyone that is interested in booking again.
