So i see that the Penguins are thinking about bringing back Sid the Kid on sunday & i'm thinking to myself are they crazy? I mean it's the Boston Bruins? Talk about a recipe for disaster. So how many games do you think he'll make it this go around? I feel sorry for the kid he's something like 5'10" & he tries to play the game like he's a lot bigger.Considering that the Bruins could potentially meet the Penguins in this years playoffs, you'd think that the Bruins (& every other team in that conference would think it's in there best interest to knock him out.
So what do you think perperts,i'm saying if he makes it to the playoffs he's toast. The next Lindros?

Penguins are doing great right now without him so there is no urgency to bring him back right away.

I think its Thursday. They have a pretty difficult schedule for the next few games. NYR, NJ, Philly.

I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't come back until the home game when Winnipeg visits.

$100,000 to the next player that really creams him!
Wtf is this the NFL now!

Seriously though, I've said it before, somebody else has said it this very thread.
Two words: Eric Lindros

Once you start getting concussions it doesn't stop. There is a reason Steve Young wore that mushroom tip on his helmet.

I loathe Crosby, and I despise the way the media sucks him off - any time with him being away from hockey makes me a happy man...

I was more referencing the bounty inqueries going on in the NFL right now. Personally Crosby is pretty good. I was always a Lemieux over Gretzky kinda guy so I'd rather watch Malkin or Ovi play.

How could you hate Crosby? The guy is a true ambassador for the sport. I am not sure what he does in his private life but he certainly comes across like a real gentleman. Don't get me wrong. I understand what you are saying. I feel the same way about Tom Brady. The media portrays him a certain way, he is married to a super model, is a multi-millionaire and is really talented. I just want to haul off a boot him in the nuts but then I see him in these interviews and he comes across as this super humble, likeable guy...and I hate him even more.

I think they were planning on his return during the playoffs.
As they had the 4/5 seed locked up for the last few weeks.
With the Rangers too far ahead to bother chasing.

Fast forward....Penguins win 8 straight.....Rangers lose 3 straight......The conference is in the Penguins sights.

Hopefully this has nothing to due with an early return.

Sid should just retire...he has a soft skull and can't take the hits. Hockey is a rough game and Sid plays the game too hard.

At best, he should just be a powerplay specialist and sit the rest of the game.

Nope... just never understood the hype behind him - if he didn't have Malkin next to him, and Fleury backing him, he'd be just another flash-in-the-pan
I can't stand Sid, but he is clearly the best player in the world right now if healthy...

Malkin is one of the tops in my book but Fleury is hot and cold. Fleury had a good series when they won but he's never even talked about as one of the best goalies in the league. Never has been and never will be.
Many goalies who get "hot" during the playoffs end up having mediocre careers after... Giguere... Roloson... to name a few...
