SW's: A Gateway to Pooning?

There were a few posts in the Quarter Mile'r BBFS thread that talked about the differences between Street Walkers and Service Providers that work on an incall/ outcall system. It got me to think about the first pooning experience I ever had. I started out picking up SW's about a dozen years ago. That was a pretty short phase, but what it did was get me interested in the hobby. I haven't picked up a SW in over a decade but my pooning has been a fairly consistant stream of MP's and SP's. It's made me wonder how most guys got their start into this hobby. Is it like me where SW's were the gateway?

For those of you unfamiliar with the term "Gateway" it's generally used to talk about drug use. The standard argument is that people start off on soft drugs like pot and then escalate to harder drugs like cocaine or crack. Part of that argument is that most people don't start off on crack and that they need some mechanism such as smoking pot first to get them interested in crack. I don't want to argue the pot gateway argument, but I would be interested in seeing if SW's were the gateway for the majority of pooners to enter the hobby. I'd also be interested in hearing from the retired pooners too.

So my question is: Were SW's your first experience with the hobby and did it lead to seeing Service Providers/ Massage Parlour Attendants?

SW was my first experience in the hobby. I always drove thru the Kingsway and Hastings area so the temptation was always there. My first SW experience was with this blonde on Kingsway who provided a bj for one brown. I always found the SW scene to be rather exciting until I got caught by a sting .

As of now, I rarely partake in the hobby. If the temptation is there, I'll probably use a SP.

I tried to do the low track thing once before. Well, I picked up this native SW. I got no service and was theatened with a needle that has been contaminated with HIV.

I would say you might even need more experience to deal with the low track Sw. So start at the high end and work your way down.

My first experience in this hobby was with a SW in Niagara falls in 1982.
I probably picked up a dozen or so over the next 10 years. Most of my time was spent in strip clubs in TO back in the $5 a dance days.
I moved to Vancouver in '92 and probably picked up a dozen or so more SW's until I discovered MP's in Korea. After a year in Korea I searched out the local parlours here and the rest is history.

switched to the SP's after getting a traffic ticket minutes after dropping off an SW ... i think i lost about 20 lbs sweating with the cops!

An old friend and I were having a drink and we started to discuss the SW scene in Vancouver in the early 70's. I'm sure most of you are too young to even have been aware of what it was like then. The entire West End was an active SW area. They were strutting their stuff all along Davie Street from Thurlow to Denman. Remember, this was also pre AIDS, so BBBJ were the norm and they ranged in price from $5 to $ 20. FS at that time was from $25 to $40 and a lot of the girls had apts in the west end. The low track was still the low track but BBBJ there could run you $2 even though it was just as scary as it is now. LE was still a problem, but quite frankly there was just too much going on for them to be able to police it all.

If you got tired of the west end, Seymour st was still the hi track and the prices doubled. You could also make a quick run to east broadway from Clark to Main st and all the streets below. There was also a track that ran down Quebec st from Broadway to 2nd Ave. The fact is, in the early 70's a lot of the girls who were on the street were not druggies, they were just trying to make some extra cash.

My fondest memory is one night seeing three girls, all good looking young-uns (late teens, early 20's) standing under a lamp at the corner of Davie and Broughton. I scooped all three of them up and proceed to Stanley Park, where each of them took turns hoovering my knob while the other two fingered and kissed each other in the back seat. This went on for about 90 mins for a total cost of $60. I sure miss those days....

I totally missed out on the good ol days. Caught the tail end of Quebec St. Where I found 60 and up was the norm. This was around 1997. Graduated to SP's after that. Saw about 1/2 dozen or so of them at roughly a buck eighty to 200 each.

Quickly noticed how my bank account was getting the shit end of the stick popping out 200 bones every time I was horny/bored. And with the hotter babes wanting 250-300 even back in 1999 it just all seemed like to much of a scam and since I was a easy going date it was all to much like stealing candy from a baby.....and I was the baby.

Back to SW's. Mid track was still pumping, no need to hit the Low, yet. Went balistic, chick 3-6 times a week for about a year. This beat one big lump pay out for a SP then your broke till next week.

Met this one SW babe and we got too friendly and decided to take it to the next level. This would be the most serious of my 3 taking it to the next level with SW's. That lasted just over a year, then crash and burn. To much drama and BS.

Fast forward to the end of 2002. Bought a new car, my first one with leather seats. No way I want any SW's in my new car so I decided a foot approach would be best, that and the fact I had been outta the scene for over a year with my SW GF made it all feel like starting over.

Foot scene to botchy for Kingsway, that and a certain cop up that way had seen me to many times, plus the general LE presence on Kingsway to begin with all added up to not having anything to do with SW's and Kingsway. Plus I may add by this time most of the SW's up there that were good to hot, once they stuck their mug in the window the first thing they spewed outta their sewer was "can a spend a brown" fukk that, I ain't paying a brown for a BJ in the car.

I stayed on the Low. Prices were better, 1-2 greens, and after all the coin I dumped into this hobby I was ready for some cheap pussy. Not hard to find gems down there, just gotta weed through a few shitty ones, but gotta do that withh SP's too.

SW's as a gateway to SP's never thought it before but I guess that is the case. Years ago there were so many SW's and few other places to look - before GS, WE and the internet.

Like many things in life lots of kids just learn about it on the street.

Way back I was curious about the SW scene but could just never indulge for
some reason, it just wasn't my scene.

Started out in the hobby at MP's my first girl was at Roses in Abby,
her name was Eva, funny how we never forget our first eh?
And yah she was the cutest sweetest little thing, went to see her again
the following week and she had already dissapeared. Damn!

So from there I kept it going on the MP scene to discover what other
wonders were hidden away.

I started out in a rock band. We were pretty good, and back then I was young and reasonably good looking. Besides, music does strange things to women

So I kind of got used to casual "sex on the fly" whether it was a girl blowing me back-stage while the drummer was playing his solo, or DFK some chick in the parking lot while packing up the instruments. There were lots of young girls in those days (early 1980s) willing to service. Lots of phone numbers. Lots of quick fucks, lots of longer term relationships, though nothing lasting. Maybe touring and gigs made me who I am today ? Maybe.

Quit the band a few years later, but still craved that kind of encounter. Maybe an intimate, rainy afternoon with a woman. Some conversation, some companionship, some fucking, nothing definate but usually I see the same woman steadily (as budget allows). Weird I guess. I craved it, but after the band it was hit-and-miss .... I hate the bar thing.

So one Saturday in 1984 I was driving downtown and took a short-cut in the alley behind A&B Sound. Crossing the alley on Richards was this girl. She made eye contact, so I stopped the car. It turned out that she was a newbie SW on her way to (lower Richards I guess?) work that remembered me from when I was in the band. I still had my long hair. She took me back to her place for FS and I donated $60 for her rent. I think I saw her a few times after that on and off for a year. She was the only SW I ever saw. She was nice, I should have pursued her.....

But I was never, ever comfortable with "the street" and all that entailed. Too weird. Too vunerable. I guess once I had a taste for (non-rockband) pussy, I was drawn into the MPs and later some of the independent SPs. I don't mind spending quality money for a quality encounter that, sometimes, reminds me of the old glory days... I liked to relax and be pampered, and pamper in kind. More about (for want of term) "friendship" or some sort of "mutual" comraderey ...

...the right woman really helps me in the musical muse department too. Keeps the musical fires burning bright and puts a spring in my step. Need springs more and more.

My first experience was at Madame Cleo's. I just wanted to see what pooning was like once before I died. While the experience wasn't all that great, it was good enough for me to become more involved in the hobby. Since then I have only visited MP or indies. I am too afraid of being busted or getting sick to visit SW, although I have been tempted.

I remember some fond memories in the 70's at a cabaret called the Kubla Kan near Main & Hastings. They had a one-arm doorman who let chinese in for free but charged $5 bucks or so for everyone else. They had nightly strip shows on the floor. Anyways, the SW's would all be in there making the rounds and begging for you to take them home. Those were the good ole days. The Smilin Buhdda was another place but not as well heeled. During those times SW's were all around Keefer and Gore. I could afford it then but I'm an old bugger now and have watch my $$'s.

I got my cherry popped by an SP a little over a year ago things got a little crazy and now she won't talk to me anymore which is sad because I really liked her and our relationship (such as it was) fell apart due to my own nievity.
