As promised, here is the poster for the presentation about the work of the BC Coalition of Experiential Communities;

I will be speaking about the Housing Exclusion Project Report, the 8 Human Rights cases we are bringing at the Canadian Human Rights Commission, Financial and banking exclusion, violence against sex workers clients and more generally the discrimination against sex workers embedded in every corner of policy and practice in Canada.

It is a free event so anyone can come and you do not need to register.

In case I can't get to Vancouver I hope you are able to record it.
Also, I want to share some ideas for discussion.
- Small stickers for the front window of business stating "We Respect Sex Workers". Early adopters might be tattoo parlors, adult novelty stores, VanCity, police stations, butcher shops, law firms, medical offices, PIVOT Legal, BCCLA.
- 11x17 posters stating "Sex Workers make the world a happier and healthier place" and giving the web address for advertising and advocacy sites.
- An open letter endorsed by sex workers telling the public that SWERFS like Janine Benadett do not represent sex workers. Only the working names of the workers endorsing the letter would be kept in confidence.

These ideas would not deal directly with the stigma and prejudice that workers face but they could improve public attitude. This will be needed if the legal challenges fail and/or we get a Conservative government.
