Well anyone thinking the people on the supreame court of canada are out to screw you all?
If I an Canadian Citizen, has to pay for a hunting licence, and also take a course to be able to aquire and keep firearms (rifle for hunting). How is it that a person in another country, can come to Canada an do it for free?
I know Canadians are supposed to be nice people....
The only thing I can inheirit from my parents is my citizenship which means I pay taxes for land, my income and on all products that I buy. (basicly the avg Canadian is taxed to death to pay for shit like this)
The Hitite Empire is dead, so is the GREEK city states, Ancient Egypt is dead, the Roman Empire is dead. Their decendants from these empires have as far as I know did not inherit rights from these Empires. People moved on.

It’s no different than the Mohawk nations status in Canada and the US. They’ve been active in NY State and Ontario / Quebec for a hell of a long time longer vs our Confederation in 1867.

The big difference with this decision is the Mohawks are 75% in Canada and the Sinixt are much lower numbers at most 25% and they mostly reside in Northern WA state.

Somehow, I’d be surprised if there aren’t appeals on technicalities before the Supreme Court in the future.

Canada gave the aboriginal peoples Treaty Rights. We signed treaties which recognized their rights to hunt and fish in territories they have historically done so. This tribe was able to establish they have historically hunted in these areas.

I’m quite certain some Canadian native tribes also have rights in the US, I spoke with some Natives years ago and was told their status card ensured those rights.
