the first sign of not thinking clearly IS letting them spend the night!!!

I think it has to do with not having to constantly worry about kicking your bed-mate, hogging the covers, etc.

I recall that when I was involved with someone where we would sleep over regularly I pretty much never got any sleep and that wasn't because the sex was transcendent ... I'm glad to have my own space at this point - not that my thinking ability has improved that much.

When I was last in a relationship, whenever we shared a bed, the room was always too warm, she never let me open the window, she used too many covers and would always gravitate towards me when she fell asleep. In other words, I was fucking hot all the time. It was like trying to sleep in summer, except that it was the middle of winter. But, she'd complain if the room was too cold (for her).

We know that, as we sleep, our body temperature drops. Every girlfriend I've ever had clung to me when she slept, body heat radiating off of her. Is it possible that if you're body temperature isn't allowed to drop as much as it would naturally, you don't get as restful a sleep?

I LOVE living alone....my house is spotless, can walk around naked and scratching my ass with no complaints, sleep when/where I want, eat in the family room

Exactly....last GF REALLY liked running her fingers through my chest hair which was fine when we were messing around or relaxing during WAKING hours but not when I was sleeping. Nothing jolts you out of a nice restful sleep like getting a hair plucked out when it gets caught on a nail.
