This is a game-changer for sure. I’m weeks away (so my employer says) from getting my initial shot and will probably make my first SP booking, in almost a year, a week or two after. If I weren’t so close to receiving it myself, I’d probably be inclined to see a provider who was willing to share tangible proof of vaccination.
Covid may be here to stay but the new normal as we’ve come to know it, in the west anyway, is about to drastically change for the better.

Curious, after reading this, how clients would feel about seeing a provider who has been vaccinated with the Pfizer vaccine?

I wouldn't feel comfortable seeing someone who has gamed the system to get vaccinated when so many vulnerable people haven't yet gained access to a vaccine. What about those First Nations elders over 65 and other seniors over 80? People who have been shuttered up in isolation fearing for their lives for the last year? It is kind of shameful!

100% , my mom has cancer , I can’t see her anytime soon as neither of us are anywhere near the front of the line. I have no problem how it’s all playing out , elderly , First Nations , people who are living & surviving outside ... other then that you’re part of the problem . Ted Cruz kinda problem ..I feel I trust all the vaccines rolling out , I guess the benefit of being at the end of the line is if ya’ll older folks start growing an arm out of your head I may look elsewhere . ??

Oh lol that’s not what happened with me. They were vaccinating marginalized folx in my neighbourhood and a friend told me I was probably eligible. I doubted it but went down to see. It was the end of the day and the vaccines only last 24h so they def have to use them up. When I told them I was a sex worker (albeit a high end indoor one) living in the neighbourhood they said I was definitely eligible.

If I was managing the vaccine rollout things would be different. I understand anger about how things are being managed but it’s misdirected at people like me who are vaccinated.

Yeah I agree these folx should have the option to be vaccinated first. There’s a lot of distrust for the medical system in my area from these demographics for obvious reasons so many people are turning them down and there’s a surplus of vaccines. Since they have to be used within 24h there have been some exceptions made which IMO is better than letting them spoil.
