Student/Military/Elderly Discounts?

Please excuse me if this question sounds ridiculous, but I think it's kind of a funny

Have any SPs received calls asking for discounts of some kind? As in military, student, or even elderly discounts? I'm curious as to see if there are men who always try to negotiate rates on the phone with this scheme...

So as a 65 year old serving veteran who's attending UBC for a commerce degree... I should get a freebie...is that it y golly....lol (Just kidding Not that old, Not a UBC member..lol )

It's a bit late in the ball game, to be wasting your time getting a BS degree, isn't it?

I have seen a few offers of Military discounts. Myself I have a few elderly clients I offer my old rates too as they are regulars that come on a weekly basis. But otherwise I rarely offer discounts as my rates are reasonably low as it is. Though I do take part of my donations and put hem back into charities.

I've had younger clients ask for a student rate.

As far as I see with my clientele, my more mature clients have a lot more money than your average person out there. I've never had a request for a seniors discount.

Military...no way pay full rate they make enough money..been there done that (ex was military) couldn''t pay his CP but could go on vacation every year. Not that I have anything against military as alot of friends are military. Hell I was raised a "Military Brat"...Have a good day.

IMO (Ropey taught me that) I believe the original post had more to do with a discount for military due to the service they provide us...nothing to do with pay.

You give the student client a break on price & he gives you a discount on service?
