have a question. I am in calgary and the strip joints here are frequented by men and women and sometime more women.

is that the same case in van too?
and can people recommend some good strip clubs close too or not too far from downtown van ? that you could take a girl too and there will be other girls there too?

The Cecil is right downtown, but it now doesn't open until like 8 pm. I think the only other strip club close to downtown is Number 5 Orange.

I would think Brandi's attracts a decent female audience...

although I haven't been there in about 5 years...

I found the place to be pretentious and over-priced...

I recommend the Paramount, that said, it is in the suburbs...

Most of what has been mentioned i agree with, except T-Barz is a thumbs down IMO. Although, if it were me, save the money for one of the fine SPs in the area. I've been to Montreal and once you've been there, you cannever go to a Vancouver strip club again!!

The only reason T-Barz got my mention is that its basically the only one on this side of a bridge worth going into. The Byrd is a dump and Mugs-N-Juggs usually has more staff than patrons.(which is bad considering they run 1 bartender and 1 waitress). I havent tried Coquitlam or Ridge-Meadows yet.

Check out penthouse on seymour street. I think with most strip clubs DT they let woment in for free... Dont quote me on that though...

Simply don't bother... Vancouver has only sad excuses for strip-joints. Seriously - Cecil, although nice inside - like 4 feature dancers, and like maybe 5 girls who don't even dance but do private-shows walking around... 4-song sets, with 20 minutes of nothing in between. BORING. $40 no-touch lapdances, which only give you blue balls. I seriously don't see the point.

Toronto and Montreal - totally different story. Whiskey-A-Go-Go's in Toronto, like 80-100 girls dancing, all hot, girl after girl... $20 lappers and more depending on chemistry... really, what more could you ask for?

It closes once in awhile if it's being used as a film set and once in a while they'll have a rock concert or other non-dancer event but overall it's open Mon-sat from 8pm. Weekends are best. Very laid back and comfortable (no gangs or sketchiness). Girls would feel very welcome there.

I haven't been to the Cecil since things changed in the last few months. I think it's more of a regular club in Saturdays now? There's a section here on Perb specifically for strip clubs, more info there.

I've heard too many scary gang stories about Brandies do I don't go there.

The 5 has a great reputation. A short cab ride from the downtown core in a bit of an un-glamorous part of town. (no FS/HJ lap dances anywhere in Vancouver)
