I agree that SWs are risky business. But they have their own charm (Atleast some of them).
Let me get this straight…there’s a rumor that the “ladies in red” who pay to advertise here, most of whom charge $300-$500/hr, were miffed that people were talking about street workers who’s fees start at $20-$50. I don’t buy that.
I enjoyed that thread last summer by EastVan72. Would love to hear more info about street girls.

Not sure how cruising for a hooker on Hastings is any more risky than picking one off of Leolist? Just like I am not going to pick up a girl with track marks all over her arm, or is she's hacking up a lung, I am not going to choose a woman with drug paraphernalia in the background of their photos. I've said it before on here, and I'll say it again, if anyone here thinks this is a safe hobby, you need to give your head a shake. Whether you pick a girl up from East Cordova, a bunny ranch in Nevada, a brothel in Thailand, Leolist or the Georgia Straight, the risks are always there. Maybe the ranch is marginally safer if they test their girls, but that's it. And I say this, knowing the in depth immunology of disease - I'd rather get COVID19 than HIV.

As someone who has never done a sw and never will, I'm just curious about what leads a person to pick up a sw. Is it the thrill of not knowing who you might get (the kind of thrill you get at amp before viewing the lineup) or the convenience?

Yes, there is always risk involved in this hobby (whether it's health, getting robbed, or etc.). I mean no disrespect but aren't you comparing apples and oranges? It's about probabilities and calculated risk. Isn't it more probable that you can find a sp/sw/etc. who will do anything (more risky shit) for a bag of Cheetos in DTES than someone on leolist in other parts of town?

I’ve seen and walked on just as many LL escorts as I’ve seen similar types on the street. At least on the street you can actually see what you are getting and make a better snap judgment, than being alarmed when Gollum opens the door. They looked like a model on LL. Risks are different, but equal.

Just to add my 2 cents, i've never done a SW in Vancouver because they are never attractive enough or they look too rough/drugged up, but i wouldn't be against it if the right type comes along. I do like looking at them when i'm driving just as entertainment, but i haven't seen any lately and not sure where they are lurking during the pandemic.
I've done tons in Asia and other countries. I don't believe they are riskier than other apartment girls or agencies for the right person - someone who is street smart, has their wits in their head, and won't lose control of a situation to someone half their sise an in a lower bargaining position.
