Did anyone catch The Passionate Eye doc called Street Fight about the 2002 Newark, NJ mayoral election? What an eye-opener. Between the dirty tricks in that election and the crap that went on in Florida in the presidential election it's no better than the rigged elections the US complains about in any third world country they disagree with. I'm almost certain the press here would jump all over those kinds of antics and it woulddn't happen here. If anyone is interested the 2006 Newark election is today and one of the 2002 candidates - Cory Booker - is running again.

The real sad part of that documentary was the Sharpe campaign accusing Booker of not being "black enough"
