Stood up and pissed!

As a visitor to your city, I decided to make the most of a gap in my shedule by booking with Rae Ann. My email was promptly acknnoledged and a time/place set. Imagine how I felt when receiving a call on my cel 30 min. prior that "something had come up" no other explanation was given. The call came from her number. Just plain bad manners!!

If you got a message saying "something came up" at least you were given some sort of notice. Being stood up is when you make plans and the other party does not show or let you know that they are not going to make it. Half an hour before is better than her not saying anything to you at all, I find it hard that you think you sere "stood up".

Maybe something really went wrong - maybe she was in a car accident. Maybe she has a kid who's in the hospital. Maybe her mother died.

Sucks to get only 30 min notice, but like horny said, at least she let you know.

Thanks fellas for backing me up...anyone who knows me, that is not my style at all! I am truly sorry for the inconvenience, however, I don't feel this is the apropriate place to vent your frustration. For some of my regulars...I do share a personal side of my "other life" I do remember...It was June 1st
I did ask Jamie to call and give you the option to see her...sorry if she did not do that. I really don't like to do that to anyone...not if I have made a commitment. I won't go into any detail, as it is not the place. Call next time you are in town and perhaps I can share those intimate details with you. This week I have been volunteering in "Hidden Valley Golf Resort" bringing food, water and helping with clean-up. It is devastating! (Lots of retired people live there year round.) Saturday I am back to the grind to replenish. So give me a call...to all those I have missed I will answer!

1. she cancelled which is a normal thing that can happen and I think trying to contact a date is only apporpriate

OR

2. The she called from a number that can be tracked back to her . .. ie her regular advertised number. Perhaps he doesn't want that number appearing on his cellphone bill and would have preferred she use a pay phone to call him. I don't see the issue here either as he must have given her the number or called her using it.

I was given permission to call the number or I would not call.
