There are two possible scenarios in play here. The first and most likely scenario is that Canadians simply don't believe the Liberals and NDP. For years we have endured the "cry wolf" tactics of the Liberals and NDP, and Canadians simply don't find them credible anymore. (Kind of like man made global warming).

The second scenario is that Canadians may have some suspicions yet are still not willing to put their trust in the NDP and Liberals. How bad is that? I think that it is safe to start booking our 2015 Conservative victory party's.

FOr a guy who didn't post for ages, and has been a member for 9 years, you sure post a lot of crap....I'd rather put my vote for a party that isn't run by right wing, christian-circlejerking, facist bastards like the Conservative party if it's being represented by people like you. People like you reinforce my belief that most small 'c' conservative people are nice, but the 'Harper' gov't is not to be trusted...at all. Same with the Liberal party here in BC.....

Devo, you've definitely earned the Silky award.

Circular logic at best based on a bunch of ridiculous assumptions that have no place in reality unless its coming from the delusional far left for consumption among each other.

That is to say....I don't trust the NDP either, nor any type of ideology that's based on 'us vs them'....which is to say every party at this time that's part of the system is also part of the problem. I'd like a gov't and an opposition that isn't at each other's throats instead of serving the taxpayer and the country. We forget that these people, regardless of what party or political wing they occupy, they work for us. We pay them to run our country....they are our elected reps, not our 'leaders', rulers or dictators. We own them, not the other way around. Ok, this is over simplified....surely, but really....what the fuck are we paying them for?

I was listening to Charles Adler and he said something that made my ears perk up. To paraphrase he said " For the next 7 years of the Conservative majority are we going to have to endure the Liberals and NDP jumping up on a daily basis accusing the Conservatives of some fringe scandal"?

If Jack Layton or Jean Chretien were still running the show this robo call nonsense would never have surfaced. Jack and Jean knew which fights to pick and this would not have been one of them.

I hope the Liberals and NDP get their act together soon. Canada has much more important issues on the table than Pierre Poutine.

Sounds like what the Republicans are going to do in the next 4 years after Obama wins by a landslide but much cheaper like birth certificates, Kenya, Hussein, and Muslim. :pound:

Did you hear that Obama's approval rating is so low that even Kenyans will no longer admit that he was born there. :pound:

Obama felt there was no need to boost ratings against whoever wins in the upcoming Britannica Party's Survivor Island. :pound:

You do realize that the Ottawa Citizen is reporting on the Conservative Lobby and not the Public Areas or the NDP Lobby (ex-Liberal Lobby)?

The Public Lobby has the pictures of every Prime Minister and every Governor General along with the official pictures of the sitting Supreme Court judges.

I've never been invited into the Opposition Lobby, not when it belonged to the Liberals and not now that it belongs to the NDP. However, I'm sure that the NDP will have Tommy Douglas, Ed Broadbent and Jack Layton on their walls.

Besides the Government Lobby (Conservative Lobby), Opposition Lobby (NDP Lobby) and Public Lobby - there is also a Press Lobby. So, the article is just a little biased and, in my view, deliberately misrepresents the layout of the House of Commons.
Nope. Didn't know that. I stand corrected. Feel a little misled by the article. I heard on the radio a few weeks ago that the royal family's people released a list of the gifts Will and Kate received during their 'tour', and one of which, from Stephen Harper, was a framed portrait of himself... This old article got a big bump on the web after.
