WE need to make a concerted effort to fight Starbuck price increase. Their prices are way over price but we continue to buy their coffee. Let's suppose we all make an effort to NOT buy startbuck coffee for a week.. LET THEM KNOW WE ARE NOT GOING TO JUST ACCEPT THEIR HIGH PRICES. If there are NO buyers.. they will not make money.. they will rethink their pricing structure. But we are followers.. we just follow along.
My plead is to NOT BUY STARBUCK coffee.. You know something, the coffee at MacDonald is NOT BAD at all and less than a buck.
Let's do something as a community.

It is NOT LIKE GAS..GAS price is pretty well around same range and not controlled by one company.
STARBUCK'S price is high. ..they are arrogant and unsympathetic.
If we give in now, they will raise it again and you know something, other companies will do the same with their products. As consumers we must do something.. If WE ALL make a turn and go buy coffee somewhere else.. we can make a difference. If we allow this to continue..then other coffee shops will also increase.. and it becomes a vicious cycle.

You can't blame Starbucks for raising their prices. The consumers seem to have insatiable demand for their products. I don't see how you can stop them from raising their prices unless the taste of their consumers change and stop buying their products. I am not a coffee drinker myself so I am not familiar with Starbuck's offerings and prices. Is their coffee really that much better than say Tim Horton's or Blenz? I don't notice too many Tim Horton's in Vancouver. What happen to Second Cup anyway? When I was in Toronto, there were a lot more Tim Horton's and Second Cup outlets. Starbucks owns Seattle's Best so maybe the management is trying to differentiate the two brands by raising Starbucks prices.

The price of coffee and sugar, much like oil, has increased significally in the past year or so. I agree Starbuck IS over priced ( I usually just just a green tea anyways) but even our little ol Timmy Ho's ( Tim Hortons) has increased their price effective Sep 27th.
Unless the is collusion between the 2 companies, seems more than just a coincidence
