Stalkers, How Prevalent Are They In This Entertainment Field ?

I did a Search, about this Topic, and nothing specific came back ?

The reason I was curious, is that I've had two well respected Ladies tell Me in the recent past, that They've both dealt with Stalkers this Year .

It kind of made Me wonder, how prevalent this Issue is, given the nature of this Business ?

I can only imagine, what an upsetting course of Circumstances, a Stalker would bring to anyone's Life ?

And my bigger Question would be, how does any Person deal effectively with a Stalker ?

There are so many mentally unstable People in our Population, with the lack of proper Resources , that I think it's pretty tough to steer clear of Them all ?

I can talk about my stalker because it happened in Toronto many years ago. He called me regularly for two years from a private number. I always hoped one day he would forget to block his number. He would make rude comments and never book. There was nothing I could do whether I was pretending to be cops or getting the real cops involved, nothing helped. In fact he is the main reason I do not answer private number. I would wonder if he would show up at my hotel or not. IDK if he was mentally unstable or just a bored asshole.

Now ladies in Vancouver are lucky. They can get in touch with Linda Malcolm and she can help you deal with these guys, as long as you know who they are of course.

There was a delusional and scary guy fixated on a retired woman.
At first he seemed like a troll but got very argumentive.
He accused me of running PERB, being her pimp, a bunch of other insane stuff.
Then he decided I was a cop and wanted to meet me in the station parking lot, he said was going to shoot me because I would not hook her up with him.
She had several orders against him but he kept on going. Finally police became involved.
I won't lie, I was worried for her and myself.
He is still on twitter and the red board.

There are a lot more really really sick people out there than you think.

If any member of PERB, guy or girl, is having trouble with a stalker, please contact Jess, Mark Service or a Mod. We will do everything we can to help keep the creeps and stalkers away from PERB. In the end, getting the police involved in the only way to ensure it stops, unless you break the law yourself, which is definitely not recommended. Take stalkers seriously, there are countless cases were simple harassment escalates into assault or worse.

It could be, too sensitive an Issue, to openly Discuss ?

But, this Thread, kind of makes Me wonder if that sort of mentality isn't being fed by this Topic ?

General statements like Earls, Cactus Club, and Joey's aren't so compromising !
But, specific Locations might be feeding a Stalker's mental shortcomings IMHO !

I could be way off Base ?

I've had my......issues..... with the Mods around here.
But I will say, when some strange things were happening around here a few years ago, and some of you will remember that incident , the management around here was very understanding , and helpful.
Thankfully , the impersonator/stalker went away when he was confronted, and it never happened again....although with the new policies here, it would be handled quite differently.
I was pissed off ,and uttered a few threats to flush him out , which wouldn't be tolerated here anymore.........( you see I'm learning )

Re:stalking. There were many threads in the past about cashiers, waitresses, etc. Their names and places of work were given. That is way over the line and thankfully it is not tolerated anymore.

We had a guy at work who was a really scary, obsessed stalker. He moved from one woman to the next. He insisted he was normal. I think most stalkers are like that, they don't see anything wrong with themselves.

There was a COPS episode about a unit dealing with stalkers. Those guys were completely nuts, seemed normal, had good jobs and families. But they also had many court orders and repeatedly violated them.

I have been close and regulars with two ladies.

and both have been comfortable enough to tell me yes they had a stalker,


um a couple of ladies have messaged me as well and asked for advice on an unwanted guy,

one lady I know has a rough and tough cliental, after a youthful bad experience,
she told me point blank any guy messes with me, I have a couple of bad dudes who are friends and clients.

another women told me she sued the hell out of a guy.

The current thread you've pasted as an example had me thinking the same thing. I refrained from chiming in to it because I've been on that OP's case a bit lately because of some of his other commentary. Figured that sooner or later someone would bring up "hot waitresses" and "stalking". In retrospect I think I'll go back and make fair comment.
I remember there was a thread about civvie retail sales clerks that went bad when specific locations and physical descriptions were bandied about. Thread was locked and warnings/bannings handed out.

She's a nutbar and I'm thankful she's no longer spreading her venom on this Board. Her toxicity and insane ramblings infected many members and Reds alike.
This in no way makes light of the very real dangers faced by many SPs.
In fact, false accusations only undermine the grim realities that so many SPs are forced to deal with.

hmm interesting, I didn't think that type of behavior was stalking but now I'm sure I have seen a fair share lol

Hell, a lot of female friends and acquaintances get stalked as well. Almost all of them have had one stalking experience. Whether it be the guy keeps showing up at the workplace looking for her, to a guy following them around town, to following them on transit for a bit.
