I was surfing around the different groups in Facebook and after following one group link I see that one of the members is using the Professional photos of Honey Fox from the Fox Den. I decide to check this out and to my surprise it is Honey Fox with her actual name and some of her personal photos with her girlfriends at the beach, the bars, and at a house party. If you are out there Honey you really need to set up some restrictions on this account or even change your profile picture to one of your real pictures. It is never safe in your profession to have any real information about yourself out there.

don't PM for the link about this folks I won't give it to you. SP's deserve their privacy the same way that we do.

Though I doubt it, maybe she doesn't care her account is publicly viewable?
Well, she's one of the few SPs who has her face completely undisguised in her professional pictures, so maybe she really doesn't care.

There are a number of escorts in Vancouver who have profiles on Facebook detailing far too many people in their personal lives.

My concern is always more with the other people in the photos (children, husband, boyfriend etc.) Presumably a lady knows and understands the personal information she is giving up about herself - however, the other people she chooses to showcase on there may not want others knowing about here occupation. People in our personal lives have a right to discretion too - and a public profile including their photos compromises their right to privacy.

You should exercise privacy settings for most of your facebook. I think pics are ok, if you don't care who knows you work, lots of girls I know have their working pics on their profile. It is however never a good idea to have any other kind of personal info though, like high schools or job or telephone or anything else that some one can stalk you with. No body knows how serious stalkers can be until, they've had a real life bostich. I had a stalker when I was 20 that ended up being put away because he was deemed a danger to himself and others. He was a freaky little man.

Luckily both lives are completely seperate from eachother, for me.. and no one would recognize me out in the real world.
A few years ago though, I had guys walking up to me in supermarkets, malls, etc, and asking me if I was Sarah Belle. THAT was awkward.

I don't think it's so much an issue of personal privacy in this case. I just by click the link for the name of the administrator of a Facebook group that I found and was interested in and that is how I found Honey Fox (and it is her). Now I hope that the name on the profile was fake, but I don't think so. I looked at some of her Album pictures and some of the comments from her friends (there were pictures of her and several girlfriends) indicated that this was her real name. The profile has no information or link about her being an SP at the Fox Den, so the only way I made the connection was the Bryan Ward photo of her on her profile. If she had used one of her personal photos from the beach I would have never have recognized her. Her Glam shots and her everyday picture are different. She still looks hot without make up, but I would never have recognized her as Honey Fox if it wasn't for that profile picture.

I spotted her profile on FB as well.

And 2 other escorts. All using their real names. I won't say any more than that.

I'm sure most of the girls know this already, but for those that don't..... bad idea to use the same pictures on your FB profile as on your escort ads, even with the face pixelled out.

here's a thought - restrict your settings on facebook. make it so anybody who's not on your friends list can see your pic or profile.

I use an alias name on Facebook for these very reasons. My friends know who I am, and translate the name mentally automatically, like a nickname.

You just never know what your future holds, and how your past can haunt you.
Remember Vanessa Williams, Miss America, for example?

I also have this personal policy:
I deliberately, slightly - 'oops!' - mis-spell my name when I fill out certain kinds of registrations or warranty cards. And I keep track of it. Then - and when - It's happened that, when I get certain junkmail in my box with a mis-spelling, I KNOW where it came from, and who sold my name.

In this world of invasive marketing, one needs his/her own dis-information campaign, ruses, and personal red herrings, just to counter the infringements and preserve your own boundaries, life, & sanity.

What is the big deal?

SPs are people like the rest of us, and they have friends and live in and frequent the same places we do from shops to restaurants and bars. I happen to run into many on regular basis, whom I have never personally seen. I could also tell you a bit about a lot of Vancouver SPs (no I won't) and I do know their real names, or some of their friends, where they live etc. and I am quite new to perb, but they are just people like us, so what is the big deal?

If any SPs wanted to stay 100% anonymous, they could not be putting photos up or advertise... it's a matter of time until circumstances catch up, but then so what, I see no safety risk, we're not talking about celebrities with worldwide exposure :)

On the contrary, countless SPs have had stalkers at one point or another. Some people in general don't realize the exposure they have on Facebook or any of those other websites until they've had their privacy breached. Not to mention, I don't show my face not for my own safety and privacy, but for that of my family and close friends.

I knew a girl who had kids and the parents of her kids all knew what she did and called her a whore in front of her kids. I would never wish that on the people I loved and because of that, I think it's important to keep personal and work life separate.

Ouch, true enough. Just on the flip side though, many girls SP or not do have stalkers at some point in their lives, from work, school, the bar, ex bf etc.

I guess a stalker is one issue, and anonymity is another. I would like to stay anonymous if I were a SP if I had concerns with family and friends, not so much for fear of stalkers however. Not showing the face helps, though most guys cant recognize a girl they see in a picture, later passing them by in the local shopping mall ;)

Sp or not, anyone who puts their face pic and real name, town, family members, work etc etc info on the internet is an idiot.
