Your choice of the name Lizard seems to fit you just right. Your decision to partially take the rationalization bait for your blatant racist statements and to cowardly hide behind the guard of “I wasn’t politically correct” is bullshit. Your statements were racist, period.

Racism is different than not being politically correct. Racist statements (discrimination or prejudice based on race) urges negative beliefs that leads to unfair and sometimes harsh consequences to and between people due to superficial differences. Political correctness “Being or perceived as being over concerned with matters relating to, or supporting broad social, political, and educational change, especially to redress historical injustices in matters such as race, often to the exclusion of other matters.”

Too bad that you’re so arrogant or ignorant you couldn’t fully take the rationalization bait “I wasn’t politically correct” and apologize for making what was racially charged negative statements. We know, your apologizing to “those people” is beneath you.

Your assertion that this is some kind of Board for a shameful profession and it’s hypocritical to take a stand against racism when it raises its ugly head in this forum is another way of trying to make it acceptable to publicly broadcast racist venom. NO Lizard, your statements were racist and NO amount of rationalization will ever defer me from fighting against racism in any and all forums.

Now that being said, let me elaborate.
Why are white people only considered as racists?
That appears to be the case if you listen to the PC media. Every time they talk racism they seem to put a white face on it.
I believe that is obvious -- In this culture white racism is the only one that is historically important. See below for an example of racism involving other cultures.

In my opinion the world should send more birth control to Sudan than food.
So I'm watching these reports on CNN and CBCNW about Sudan and they show this poor gal with her young child who is obviously in a bad state. The underlying message is we must send food, money, or medical aid to these poor people. I agree. BUT I found that I was also asking myself "what about birth control?". Why do these, and other people, continue to have children when they cannot feed or look after them?
If you read about the situation in Sudan, it is not about overpopulation -- it is about racism and money. The blacks in the south are dominated politically and economically by the arabs in the north. They also live in the part of the country that contains the natural resources --- oil. They have been driven from their farms and homes by militias that want the area for themselves; they have been brutalized, raped, and murdered. Food supplies sent in to the refugee camps are regularly confiscated. The response of the rest of the world has been pretty darn mild. Suggesting that what they need is birth control is not exactly helpful.

I lived in Africa for several years and over those years enjoyed many good relationships.

I do agree that racism exists in every culture, including in Africa and among Africans.

As well, I am also of the opinion that Africans for some strange reason are not able to govern themselves. I lived in East Africa, where many of the cabinet ministers had Harvard and MIt degrees, yet most of them have spent time in the local jails for fraud. How could one explain that.

It been several decades since most African countries became independent, yet, strangly enough, they are poorer now then when they were run by a bunch of white colonialists from Britain!

Lizard Boy,

Have you met and dated EVERY Asian and Indian woman in the world to come up with that generaliztion?

And street racers have had the pleasure of enticing young East Indian and Middle Eastern males to the sport. Not just Asians.

Lizard King to answer your questions, yes you are. Your statements are callus and gross generalizations of different ethnic groups.

Ladies strictly avoid this guy, don't support his spreading of bigotry and want to be Nazism.

Please one world, one people.
From your reply the first thing that pops into my mind is that you are very ignorant and sound just as bad yourself. One is entitled to his own opinions. I personally believe that we should end poverty and crime in our own country before we send money and help to another. By your way of thinking, you would consider me a racist too.

Lizard King, I'm not going to jump on your back like some people have, but I'll answer your questions in my opinion....

As far as your comment that it's a lady's choice whether or not to welcome a client based on sexual preference or perceived safety precautions, I disagree.

"Mangement reserves the right to refuse service"

"No shirt, No shoes, No Service"

Would you consider these statment racist? Afterall they are directed towards people without shirts. It is not against the law to go topless. So why should they be aloud to do that? And what about the first one, if a srubby person walks into a fine dining resturant how much to you want to bet that they will not get served. Is that considered racism?

Ruffian,

What a change! You, at one point, detested women of your own Indian race. When did the change of heart occur?

In canada, a shop owner is allowed the option to not serve any particular individual. That by itself would not consitute racism. He many not abuse or make disparaging remarks about that customer.

Market forces will eventually force that owner to go out of business or change tactics.

Personal services such as SP is somewhat different in the sense that the provider is providing "personal and physical" services" in contrast to services such as advice or counselling. In the former, other factors such as personal hygiene, behaviour, physical appearance and chemistry are dominant. Therefore an SP is well within her rights to refuse her services to a potential client

Lolita, my buddy Ruffian is starting to get an education in the real world - its called the School of Hard Knocks.

In time, he will be an experienced member in good standing.

At that time, I'll invite him to have a Jack daniels. In the meanwhile, perhaps you could become his SP mentor!

I saw this beautiful, brianna banks bodied, young east indian woman the other day. I was having a drool fest till she turned and saw that her back had long long black hairs on it. Hard to soft in less than a second. I guess I could shave it. :) Guess I'm a racist to hairy women.

I was away, thanks for the explanation BlondeLuver. That was exactly what I meant. I was not referring to meeting people at their cultural 'events', segregation is so sixties. :)

I was indeed referring to walking thru a mall, in the grocery store....public washrooms even!

Alrighty. So I've shared some opinions, some insight as to what may have helped shaped those opinions, and also what partially motivated me to post them. Remember they are only opinions and like anybody else’s, they are not always "right" and can change at any given time (Ruffian). Show me someone whose opinions are 100% right, 100% of the time, and I'll show you a liar and a hypocrite.

HankQuinlan and blowhard, you have eloquently and correctly commented on the social issues regarding the Sudanese and you should be commended. I guess part of my point is that the average person may not take or have the time to be as adequately educated on the subject and as a result form their opinion based on what they may see on a newscast. CBCNW and especially the BBC actually do a fair job but the average person catches the news at 6:00 and they report on or portray it horribly. Another part is, I guess I'm questioning my own opinion and conscience for having this opinion. Is it ignorance? Sure. Is it racism? Obviously in some people's opinions it is.

Lolita, no I have not met and dated EVERY Asian and Indian woman in the world. All I was saying is that for some reason it seems that the ones I did date, and for the most part have seen on the street, just didn't "do it" for me. Do I hold that against them socially or "hate" them for it? Of course not. Do I feel bad for not having a sexual preference or attraction for them or regret expressing that? Absolutely not. Hence my comment immediately after, regarding physical characteristics. Why can some people have an attraction or preference for big or small but be condemned as a "Nazi" if colour falls into the equation. I certainly didn't mean that as a comment on their customs or culture. However in some people's opinion, and possible yours, this is racist. You're correct, street racers come in all races, in fact you forgot to mention Caucasian, but you may not have that opinion if you casually consume what's shovelled out by the unbalanced media.

Well put HFS, I just hope you're not placing what I've shared in the middle part of your post. Mind you that wouldn't be as inflammatory as accusing me of "spreading bigotry and want to be Nazism"!!!

Look, map47 took the time to get something off his chest and it's great that someone commented somewhat positively on their direct experience with the issue. The two ladies then offered up some comments or observations based on what were obviously bad or traumatic experiences for them. massageseeker, IN MY OPINION, was wrong to attempt to call them out, albeit in a snide way, as making rash social commentaries. He may have been right if he would have paraphrased it with "not understanding or knowing what you may have experienced but".

And Sunset. Please share with us the heroic details of your exploits or cavalier efforts in "fighting" the fostering, promotion, and spreading of racism and bigotry by people such as Jenny Kwon and the Asian fellow who was looking to run Federally in Burnaby, who have played the race card when things didn't go their way.
BTE, I live in Burnaby and did not vote Liberal (sorry not NDP either) as result of their mishandling of the political process in my riding and not because an Asian person was on the short end.

Oh, and if you haven't been "fighting" this part of the battle, you need to really go look at yourself in the mirror you hypocrite.

Hiding and rationalizing? No. Questioning my own opinion in a semi-public forum for all to see, question, influence or educate otherwise, challenge, AND condemn? Absolutely.

Cowardly? Only you would know, you little fighter you!

I am not a rascist, I hate my race (white) as much as any other.
The problem is what we say when we are mad at other races...(usually on the road, driving)
what we say comes out rascist, when really we are just angry.

But the truth is, we don't have any good names for our own race, so we just call them a stupid ----, and leave it at that.

If I had better names to call my own race, then I could at least be an equal opportunity rascist, leaving no race untouched.

Anybody have any suggestions ?

Actually this scares me more than terrorists, pandemics and politics combined. If that truly is the level of knowledge/interest of the average person, we are all doomed.

The people in my life are multicultural...

My banker is Jewish.

My baker is Dutch.

My butcher is Polish.

My dentist is Iranian.

My doctor is Caucasian.

My drycleaner is Chinese.

My mechanic is German.

My therapist is Heinz 57.

As long as they get the job done to my satisfaction, I'm happy.

This bullshit about not liking the people, religion or traditions of a particular group is bogus - you're biased mostly against yourself.
