no, not a post about favorite sp expressions during sessions, but a question about bit-torrents ...

followed the post and am running azureus but it is taking forever to download a movie!!!

according to the latest, it should take me about 34 days! to download the stupid thing!

i have 77 (775) peers; 39.9 kb/s up-load speed; and 0 (2) seeds ...

what else you need to know???

Do you have a firewall? If so that will slow the speed done considerably. I can't remember the ports right now but you need to open 2 ports I believe. You should be able to search a faq about firewalls and it should tell you which ones you need to open. If not PM me and I can give you them later.

I've heard the same rumors Not to mention shaws fukkin stupid 20gig or 50gig dl/ul combined limit.

Seems like Telus will be gettin some more business if this BS screws with my downloads. So far I'm a casual downloader and can stay in the 50gig zone.

Myfastes with BT was around 100kbps so far.

They can throttle traffic on the port, but with some of the bit torrent clients, you can actually change the port used for upload/download.

I was using Bit Tornado for a while and I believe with that you can change the port...and that will improve speed.
