Anyone else notice the increase in ladies advertising specials lately? Is it just that it's the season of giving or is it that guys aren't spending as much because of the holidays and the girls are trying to entice more business or are the girls trying to earn some extra holiday cash?

Whatever the reason it seems like a special time of year.

If someone has trouble getting repeat clients, or maybe was new earlier in the year and expects themselves to be as busy 6 months later, they probably get worried about a natural drop in biz. It is also possible, as you say, that December is coming and they may be doing busy work for now in order to take one or two weeks off during Xmas week.

Probably a bit of both. From a marketing standpoint, it seems to pay to offer deals during the holidays so people buy more during a time they usually spend a lot anyway.
