BBC radio had a program about those guys and it was sickening. One of them admits having HIV but keeps doing it for the money.
There was a health minister interviewed and she is getting death threats for trying to stop the practice.
Africa is still in the Stone Age.

There are tons of things that are really fucked up in that part of the world, that is pretty mild in comparison to some of the stuff that goes on there.
