Not sure exactly but I do know that if Paypal finds out you are doing something illicit, it can freeze your entire account and never give you your funds, barring what you have already received I suppose. It's part of their terms and conditions that you must accept in order to get an account with them.
What she said. ^

Here's a bit of a cut and paste exerpt from their User Agreement. I noticed they appear to have rescinded the policy that allowed them to freeze your account and steal your funds (can we say illegal?), but adult-oriented transactions are still on the naughty list.

Other Prohibited Goods and Services
Notwithstanding the requirements and factors described above, PayPal prohibits transactions for the following goods or services:

Any services for which the purpose is to facilitate meetings for sexually oriented activities.

In general. In addition to the rights laid out in section 7.2 of the User Agreement, PayPal, at its sole discretion, also reserves the right to limit access to sending money or making withdrawals from an account for any one of the events listed below:

Violations of this User Agreement;

Participating in prohibited transactions and activities, including but not limited to multi-level marketing programs, gifting clubs and other pyramid schemes, and listing items for sale that have a delayed delivery date of 20 days or more after the transaction list, and other activities that are prohibited in Part II of this Agreement;

Because Paypal is fairly restrictive especially since Ebay bought them out and since Paypal dropped all their business with online gambling sites. Since the loss Neteller and Firepay has picked up all the gambling sites. Neteller is a publically traded UK based company but their call centre is in Calgary. Great company to deal with. 24hours support online or phone either way it's live support. I figure if their main merchant clients are gambling sites then prostitution under an umbrella corporation is safe.

I find more than 75% of my income is derrived in a non cash form (mainly bank transfers, but also a fair bit of paypal). It does require some trust on the part of the gentleman, as prepayment is required. However, I would imagine most ladies would have no problems with it. It is so much easier. I prefer an electronic transfer of funds over carrying cash to my bank anyday.

As for paypal, you do need to be somewhat careful. Have it sent to an email not related to an adult content site, and then transfer the money into your corporate account (which again should be industry neutral).
