hi all, i have been in the hobby for well over a year now, and although i have my regulars, i am constantly looking for new faces in the industry. so i met this girl from surrey about two months ago, and during our first meeting, she mentioned to me that she was trying to get into porn and had made contact with a local porn producer. i was quite intrigued by this, so we talked about it for a little bit and the session went on. afterwards before i left, we chatted a little more about it and she had mentioned to me that she had sent to the producer her facebook page so they would know what she look like in real life (ie. no face blur, in plain clothes, etc etc...)

so late last night, i got a notification on my cellphone that someone had requested to add me as a friend on facebook. didnt pay much attention to it as there are so many "junk friends" in facebook (dating sites, porn sites, etc etc...) so this morning i went on facebook and check out this friend request, and to my surprise, its HER!!! i've only seen this girl maybe 3, 4 times, and i surely did not share my personal info with her. my profile pictures do not show myself, and i do not share my phone # on facebook. has this ever happen to anyone else?? please share your thoughts.....

I only have one thing to say about Facebook...it's EVIL! I haven't used it since it came out. Can you block people on there? Block her now.

It happened to me once but I was stupid enough to share my phone number on Facebook. I blocked her and removed my phone number from that site.

so was this sp obsessed with you or something?? in my situation, i did not sense anything at all from her, didnt send me unsolicited txts, everything seems normal with her. i mean it doesnt bother me at all that she did this, just want to find out how and why. anyways, i will find out or at least try to and update.

thanks everyone for their input, the mystry is solved. i've contaced her on her phone previously (obviously), and she accidentally synced her phone with facebook sometime last night, which means her phone (fb app i am assuming) sends out invites to the people who are not already on her fb list. it seems to me nowadays that personal informations are easier than ever to obtain, as long as you have someones phone #, you can find out what that persons blood type!!! crazy world we are living in.... anyways, just a word of advise, if you do not want people to find out about your "private life", remove your personal info from the social networking sites... be safe out there

That can happen quite easily. I am not a big proponent of Facebook but I use it to manage certain social aspects of my life. Go through your privacy settings. I have set my phone number and email address to be searchable by friends of friends. Otherwise, they can search my name but I don't use a face pic on my profile nor will I ever. Facebook is the devil but I can say that at least they have been making strides to protect the privacy of their users of late. If for no reason other than necessity...

i have to agree with all thats been said above, and there is just no way to stop all the madness reguarding privacy. one day, like chhaapp said, all these are gonig to show up on a computer somewhere, and poeople are going to find out whats going on. if you dont want people to find out about stuff that you do, my suggestion is that you stop doing it!! or you can spend money for a poon phone, set up a bogus email address, and you might as well call the police and set up a witness protection program whenever you want to go see a girl. just my two cents. be safe out there....

I had a FB account for about a year or so, mainly to play poker, but I deleted it because it was getting to be a waste of time. As far as privacy is concerned: I watched a documentary a while back. It is frighteningly easy to get info on people. You can take a pic of someone on the street with your phone and run it through facial recognition software (which is free on line) and it will check FB for a match. The guy said he could get someone's name, phone, address and other info within a few minutes and more with more digging around. Privacy is gradually becoming scarce.

I get these occasional txts from 837-81 telling me there are 9 people on FB that I may know. I just reply with F*CK OFF!

It is probably worse for her. She's probably got a lot of guys on her phone, and a bunch of them will probably accept the friend request. Good luck to her 'splaining all those new friends in her private non-SP life.

It's probably a good idea to turn off the visibility of a friends list in case someone from the fun life accidentally shows up. But can you turn off the "x is now friends with y" that is blasted to everyone?
