Just as the title says, I just got an irrational fear all of a sudden, and was curious if anyone has had the unfortunate pleasure of booking with a new SP, only to find that it is a friend of your S/O standing behind the door when you walk in.

You are right your fear is irrational. There are plenty of other things that can go wrong, like you can break your penis during a session requiring immediate medical attention and your s/o will find out about it. This will cause both mental and physical anguish.
Don't worry, the chances of this happening are minimal.
Yah, I don't think Ballerific meant that he IS a new member, I think he meant that he HAS a new member - one of those Bruce Jenner transformations

an SP in Victoria, years ago, told me that she opened the door to her teacher. Another one said that she was visited by a friend of her Dad's. I can't remember if either of them proceeded with the session. My worry is to visit a high rise and running into someone I know in the lobby or elevator.
