I don't think working with your kids in the house is right at all.. You don't know what kinda guy your letting in your house! Women that do that make me sick! I know lots of SP's with kids.. thats what baby sitters are for!!

Next time try to ask in advance. Some people mind, others don't. The SP's should be telling you up front before you arrive, but perhaps they were scared it would ruin the deal. Yes, babysitters are ideal, but if an SP only has 1-2 clients for the night, it may not be worth it to pay the babysitter. Furthermore, based on the stats I've semi compiled so far, it seems like almost 50% of dates are cancelled or stood up!!! An SP can't hire a babysitter and then have her date cancel on her. That would suck!

Babysitter ... $4 - $6 per hour

escorting ... $200- $300 per hour.

I'm not quite sure how spending maybe $20-$30 bucks for 4 hours of babysitting isn't worth it when you take in between $400 and $600 for a couple of hours work. Sure if you're stood up you're out the babysitting money, but surely that can be made up with future clients fairly easily. This just seems to me to be a basic cost of doing business. Several of my favourite sp's have children and they have separate in-call locations from their home. One sp I see used to work out of her home and she always made sure that her child was in the care of a sitter when she was working. Frankly its irresponsible to do anything else. I'd turn around and leave if an sp told me their kid was sleeping in the next room. I also wouldn't have an sp to my house if my kids were asleep.

but I completely disagree with kids anywhere near this realm. I also disagree with working from your home - both safety concerns.

Reminds me of the time a 40 ish year old man brought his 3-4 yr old to the whore house - I was shocked, the madame told him never to come back after lecturing him on the well being of his daughter. CREEPY I saw it with my own eyes!!!!

about seven years ago i had an incall in the peg at the sps apartment/studio.i had never encountered children at a session before or even considered that this could happen so checking the studio for kids never crossed my mind.about two years later i had a biker pop out of a closet so now i always check to see who's around.
anyways we were about 30 min into my hour and i had just jumped on top for a bit of russian when i looked towards the door and there was a kid about eight years old picking his nose watching us.so i hopped off and nodded towards the door so the sp looks and comes unglued at the kid and he says i want some oreo cookies and she says we dont have any phucking cookies so get the phuck out of here.
he then proceeds to start wailing at the top of his lungs so she hops up and grabs him screaming and yelling every second and drags him out of the room.i get up and get dressed and am on my way out and she looks at me dumbfounded and says why are you leaving? i just shook my head and started putting on my shoes and said im all of a sudden not in the mood anymore so she starts screaming that its not her fault and that if i think im getting my money back im out of my phucking mind.i told her no prob keep it and hire a babysitter so the next guy doesnt have to watch your kid pick his nose while he's trying to get laid.she was still calling me names when i hit the stairs.its funny now but then not so.

Wow, that's a very sad story. :(

Kids should never be exposed to these sorts of activities.

For some strange reason, I thought babysitters charged $10/hour with a 4 hour minimum and full fridge priviledges ;) . I don't have any kids so I wouldn't know. If an SP is just starting out with no repeat clients, it's possible she really may not be able to afford a babysitter. From the sounds of it, this particular SP said the money goes to feed them, not to buy them toys, so it would seem this particular SP's business probably isn't booming yet like many of the established SP's on PERB.

I agree if the SP owned a house, she should do all incalls in a separate incall location, either her own or shared with 1-2 other SP's.

However, if an SP lives in an apartment, it's a little less dangerous. She has the protection of the buzzer (only letting people in she's expecting). If somebody manages to get in "through the backdoor" by sneaking in when another tenant is entering or some other underhanded way, well she still has the safety of the lock on her door and lots of neighbors if things get noisy. For an SP just starting out, they often cannot afford a separate incall location.

It's sad that she's still calling YOU names after you said she could keep the money. Some people don't know when to quit when they are ahead!!!!

I was just defending my parenting for owning a agency and because I was a working girl at one time or another. I would never bring my kids to a appointment or bring someone to my home...

It was a real scare to be followed home from the store one day from someone who never had seen me but talked to me on the phone.

Actually, I do have some friends that are single moms, and I don't have the exact numbers, but I know they did mention that babysitting was one of their major expenses and one of the reasons they don't go out as much. Then again, these friends are not SP's and don't take in $$+ for an hour session. If somebody was willing to babysit for $4-$6 an hour like you said, and not have a minimum (even a 2 hour minimum) that is really cheap and the SP really should be looking at doing that. Either that, or find another SP friend that lives closeby she can team up with and watch each others kids when the other has a client. If the SP is almost literally "forced" to do the deed with kids in the house, then she needs to lock the door of the kids room and the door of the room the deed is being done and try to soundproof everything as much as possible. That story with the 8 year old watching mommy get fucked by some stranger makes me shake my head. That kid will be fucked up for life.

I heard it was snowing in winnipeg a week and a half ago, and now it's double digits warm. Do you always have those kinds of weather swings?

no doubt baby sitting can be expensive ... but that's if you're adding it to the cost of a night out!!! 3 hours at a movie and bite to eat, the baby sitting costs could almost double the cost. If you're a single parent trying to make ends meet its really tough. Its also hard to find reliable babysitters. But if you need a sitter so you can go out and earn some pretty good coin, well, that's a very different matter.

As for the weather ... yeah this is typical springtime winnipeg.

no kids

no people under 18 around any activity, no good reasons, no good excuses, how much is a $50 motel? For that matter no one but the sp and client should be around.

I can't believe that this topic is even an issue. This shouldn't even be happining. It makes me angry and disgusted to know that there really is SP's out there that are jeoardizing thier childrens safety and mental health basically just for money. This is a personal note to all the selfish "whores" out there. "YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELFS, AND WHAT YOUR DOING RIGHT NOW ISN"T FOR THE KIDS, IT"S OBVIOUSLY ALL ABOUT YOU AND GREED. GROW UP"

Hearing about all these crappy parents, be they SP's or customers, reminds me. For me to practice my profession I had to attend school, take license exams, pay fees, even have a criminal background check. But for some loser with no common sense to spit out babies? No such requirements! Have at it!
