Green....

We need another national alternative....and every vote is $1.75 for that party. I live in a Conservative whitewash (or is that bluewash), so voting is basically irrelevant anyway

FYI, on the news they're saying Anne McLellan's doing better than expected in Edmonton - and Rahim Jaffer may be in trouble

Actually chiefW I'm very pleased to see you voted for who you believe in
and not going with the masses on who they figure is going to win.
That is what a wasted ballot would be IMHO.

Call me what ever the hell you want I have and always will vote NDP.
Unless of course if they ever gain power and wind up getting caught
like the Federal Libs did.

So far, pretty fat chance of that ever happening.:p

I voted Green because I think it's time to go over to the proportional representation system. Last election Green party got 5% of the vote close to a million votes and of course no elected representatives, yet the NDP got 2 million votes and 19 where is the justice in the that? Also why spoil your ballot when you can vote for a real alternative to how things are run

Then I like for all of Canada to vote for anyone but the Conservatives.

I know I'm gonna be flamed because I'm American, but I am an anti-Bush American.

Believe me when I say the following:
"The last thing that the world needs is another Bush in power in another country."
What do you think of that statement?
Only time will tell??? if .....

Green, since you ask

I was mostly a Reform voter in the days of Preston Manning.

Reform-Alliance-Conservative lost me when Stockwell Day took over, and there's just no way I can vote for Harper.

At the beginning of the campaign I was determined to vote liberal despite my disappointment with them. However, every time Martin opened his mouth he made it harder to vote for him, and eventually, I just couldn't.

I ended up voting green, even though I find many of their policies naive and poorly thought out. Even a couple of years ago I'd have been horrified at the thought, but there it is - I did it. At least the local green candidate was a person I'd be happy to have as my rep in Ottawa.

Get a grip ! It's a slim minority government. It'll be a miracle if any eye popping legislation gets put through !

This is probably the best possible result considering what the Liberals did to themselves.

good result for Liberals

Actually this is the best result for the Liberals, excepting a Liberal majority. If it had been a Conservative majority, the Libs would be out of power four or perhaps even eight years. If it had been a Liberal minority, how would Martin step down during what would be 12 to 18 months of government - giving Harper a good target for the next election. Now Harper will be consumed managing his Conservative minority. The Liberals have time and space to elect a charismatic younger leader (Martin is 67 so time to go), all the scandal has already been punished and the fresh breath of new leadership sweeps in. Harper will be hampered by his lack of experience in government, some of the wackos in his party are sure to open their mouths, and the Cons will be ripe for the boot in the next soon-to-come election. Not so bad. And the NDP borrowed votes will return to the Liberal roost.... no worries.
