Hey Perbies!

Let's come together and gather round to share our favourite smoothie recipes! Here is my secret recipe:

-250ml of coconut milk
-50ml of almond milk
-1/3 of an avocado
-1/2 teaspoon of honey
-1/2 banana
-2 servings of green tea ice cream
-1/3 cup of blueberries
-1/4 cup of cottage cheese
-1 shot of wheatgrass

If you feel the need for an added boost especially in the morning, add half or even a whole jalapeno or chilli pepper. This shake consists vitamins and nutrients to ensure long term health and a boost of energy!

I like to make a "vanilla milkshake" - half an avocado, two cups of spinach or kale, vanilla almond milk, and a bit of vanilla extract :)

my favorite right now that i have been drinking about .5 litre a day of is a mixture of ----- coconut water, kale, spinich, whole cucumber, whole apple, avacado pit, water melon, and a mixture of frozen berries that consist of blue berry, straw berry, and black berries. This is a smoothie I make every other day (theres always a jug in my house of it ) and generally drink a massive cup full or two.

I also make a different one in the morning for more energy that cosists of banana, almont milk, hemp hearts, peanut butter, and a litttle bit of plain yogurt.

As a refresher and hydratiing smoothie that i drink more of in the evenings I blend a ripe cantelope with cucummbers and water.

I also enjoy green apples, pineapple, cucumber and mint leaves

for a hang over I use, a ripe banana like the kind you freeze when they go dark for banana bread, well i take a frozen one out, unthaw it and toss it in, then I use plain yogurt whole milk or soy, honey, and some vanilla protien powder.

To help prevent hang over I drink the cantelope cucumber smoothie in the evening before bed, as I find it helps.

fresh strawberries in the summer as well with frozen vanilla soy ice cubes tastes really good, almost like ice cream

I tried pickled beats and kale once.. I thought it was pretty good

i could live off smoothies I love them ... those and a never ending supply of cup cakes, astro pop, and chocolate, I would b just fine in life.. :)

I actually love cutting up stuff and pulverizing it all as its almost like a wild frusteration release... the vegetables and fruit start flying ( im very quick with a knife )

In Lust Mostly
I've been buying bags of frozen fruits like mango etc to add to my daily concoction that goes in my juicer.

Some things I usually include are raw whole ginger, a turmeric elixir, whatever apples that are in the bowl, banana, protein powder and either kale or spinach.

Allright.....It's not very Redneck Cowboy, but I'll admit, I've become addicted to them as well.
Here's mine, but don't tell any of my buddies, I'll never ever live it down. Those guys live off Beef Jerky, Steak , and Chewing Tabacco, but I'm more health concious than they are.
I'll have this 5 times a week without fail with my lunch.

Handful of Blueberries.
Scoop of Pineapple, and Coconut Yogurt.
Scoop of ground Flax seed.
Handful of Kale.
1/2 of an Orange, or whatever fruit is in the fridge that hasn't become a Penicillian culture.
2 cups of Chaga Tea....If you don't know what it is, you'll have to Google it.
Little bit of honey if I feel like it.....
If my blood feels like its working to hard to get to my brain, I'll make one after work, and add an ounce of Moonshine..just to thin it down some.

right here and now
No fucking around- I just bang this together in a Magic Bullet then I'm out the door and into the truck:
Scoop of vanilla protein powder
Fistful of power greens- kale, chard, spinach
Maybe some blueberries
1- 1/2 cups of water or so
Minimal calories- all energy! Just don't forget to check your teeth in the rear view mirror before you step into the public eye!

Nice! This is pretty much my daily recipe too, but I add in some greek yogurt for creaminess and 2 tablespoons of olive oil to keep me a bit fuller. Often one of two servings of a sweeter fruit to make it a bit more palatable, but without turning it into a 20-oz drum of diabetes!

Good point about checking your teeth too haha. While we're on the subject of teeth, everyone should remember to rinse out their mouths with a little plain water after having a smoothie, so those fruit acids aren't left sitting on your enamel. Also, wait a bit between having a smoothie and brushing your teeth; you don't want to be grinding the acid into your enamel either.

Happy smoothing everyone!
