Smart Phone negative irritatios

Recently set up a smart phone (unlocked). Everything is cool UNTIL an SP (discretionarily) texted me in response to my phone calls. I assume Rogers locked onto that SINGLE text (I had chosen not to text being an old fart). Rogers immediately initiated a daily two-time text message each day informing me I need to subscribe to a monthly data plan. My SP had been immediately responded to via one text to not text me again (but phone me). So, four weeks later, FUCKING Rogers last week commenced an harassment daily text at 3 a.m., 4 a.m., 5 a.m.!! (I had previously texted Rogers to fuck off, which probably added to the sucker's misconception that I WAS a text freak. I ceased that futile response after three texts.

What options do I have? Now, the ONLY texts recorded on my monthly statement are from Rogers!!! These arseholes can text ME at their will (obviously disturbing me) and if I confront them I can shove that fact "up their nostrils!" But, I'd prefer those fuckers to review my monthly usage and determine that I am NOT using texting AS THEY HOPED I MIGHT BE DOING!!

Any advice would be appreciated.

It got to the point with me that I was receiving text messages form Roger at 5AM... yes 5AM...i made a big stink and wrote a letter...of course, the messages stopped, but I never received any compensation for the numerous times I was awoken by Rogers text messages at 5AM!!!

I am with Virgin now and I have unlimited NATIONWIDE calling. And in this line of work that is a bonus. Rogers can kiss my @ss

If the texts are sent by Rogers to its subscribers, then you won't be charged. Now, they text you because you don't have a data plan which one of your apps needs to access the internet via cell towers. You need to turn off that app whenever you are out of your wi-fi area in order to avoid those texts.
Data plan is for internet. Cheers.
