Sorry to be so slow off the mark, but I just got around to seeing Shrek2 and was blown away. Not only is the computer animation getting eerily realistic, but the writing was brilliant. As social satire it runs a close second to The Simpsons. Usually the addition of Puss helps anything and this movie is no exception. The Puss In Boots character adds a new level and is a great character. Biggest weak point for me was Cameron Diaz. Anyone could have voiced the princess better. Her voice is flat and lacks emotion or distinctiveness. Fairy godmother was an inspired addition, as well. They could have made them a pair of Patsies and Edinas and it would have been even funnier.
