I love cars! I won't post mine cuz if I did, you'd know who I was as soon as you saw it (enough custom work you'd pick it out instantly).

But as much as I love cars, I'd given up bikes for six years now (after finally scaring the shit out of myself) having owned 5 of them over 12 years. But the itch is back and I gotta scratch, real soon:

Some bikes I have owned in the last 5 years

SV650
ZRX1200
ZX9R

I have given up on motorcycles totally. I just have a hunch that one day I will meet the wrong driver and I will be sorry forever. Just a hunch, in over 15k of riding I've never had anything happen to me though. In fact I just gave up on bikes this spring.

The freeways are worse than ever. Apparently, when the freeways everywhere get more crowded people like to go faster instead of slowing the fuck down.

That is why I am really into cars again, I'll sit behind a couple of tons anyday.

words to live by...

When I took my motorcycle lessons, the instructor's first words referenced 'its not a matter of IF you will spill your bike but a matter of WHEN'.

sweet car. i tested one of those versus a corvette once and it actually out-accelerated the 'vette.
Yeah she is fast as we took her out on highway 22X and opened her up to 200km/hour and still had a quartre peddle to go before touching the floor, but was to scared to go any faster...LOL And the supercharger kicks ass coming off the line.

Why has the Hummer owner foregone other less gas consuming, less excessively wasteful, less visually obtrusive to other drivers, less hazardous to other cars in an accident, at least equally powerful, and less expensive cars, such as even a Ford 1-ton or a Lexus SUV? We're not talking about comparing a Hummer to a Honda civic here. I'm talking about why a Hummer owner chooses by far the worst offender of them all.
The marginal drawbacks of the Hummer you mentioned are more than overcome by the significant advantages it has over all of the vehicles you mentioned.

It has better handling than both the Navigator and Escalade.

It is far more mechanically reliable than the Range Rover.

The X5, Mercedes SUV and Lexus SUV are more civic than SUV.

I suggest a 2007 Suzuki GSXR1000 as a starter bike.:p
A motorcycle in vancouver is about the easiest way to die. Vancouver is a city that isn't made for motorcycles. It rains the majority of the time, the traffic system is terrible and vancouver drivers are beyond atrocious.

Motorcycles are enjoyable in areas where there are lots of open roads, especially for sport bikes. Day to day driving a motorcycle in vancouver is beyond annoying.

You got that right. I'm from Seattle and the one thing about Vancouver that is so annoying is how hard it is to make a left turn! No middle land divider. Its like playing the video game frogger with your car weaving in and out.

Take it from me, I gave up sportbikes because lets face it there is no where to ride them like they are suppose to be ridden. You really just go as fast as a car. Maybe it fun in Montana, Wyoming, Idaho I dont know never lived in those places but in Vancouver your sportbike will be conspitated from low speeds.

I drive a 1993 Hyundai Pony. Shut up. It runs great. Most of the time. :)
