I actually went there in early October. The booker gave me the buzz number, but when I got upstairs and knocked, nobody answered. They told me to wait ten minutes because the lady was out shopping.
Ten minutes later, two heavyset Chinese women who looked at least 55 came out of the elevator carrying Superstore bags. They spotted me and opened the door to let me in. Neither looked anything like the ad photos. Unless those pictures were taken several decades and a few major life events ago, I was definitely at the wrong photoshoot.
Both were built straight up and down—same width at the shoulders, waist and hips. The only curves I saw were on the Superstore bags. They looked around my mom’s age, which isn’t my thing, so I politely retired from the expedition and left.
I asked the booker why they were using fake pictures. No apology—just an offer to send me to 745 Ballantrae instead. Great, a disappointing field trip with a second stop. That made me suspect the two places were connected, so I stopped replying.
A little over a week later, the ads disappeared. Maybe I wasn’t the only guy making a quick U-turn, but that’s just a guess. Now the ads are back. Apparently, the sequel has been released.
