Shaw Secure A BIG PIECE OF CRAP

So i figure i am going to save a few bucks and not renew my norton and try ShawSecure it's free so why not, yea right. I deleat all my norton and installed piece of shit shaw, big mistake my rig just slowed to a halt.No problem i will delete piece of shit shaw now its worse. So I phone piece of shit shaw and they tell me i needed to go into the reistry and delete all norton before i entered piece of shit shaw i says to the girl most people do not even know how to get int the reistry let alone make changes, her answer was well thats the way it is. So I go into the reg. and delete everything that looks like piece of shit shaw and norton. $80.00 later i walk out of computer shop with a rig that wrks. Get home and there is notice that i owe bigger piece of shit Revenue Canada $6500.00

I am using Shaw Secure and found no problem. It's not as user friendly as Telus' Freedom though.

Yeah well, the problem may have been Norton, which is basically its own little virus. The only way I could completely get rid of the thing was with a reformat.

Norton's good alright - but it is definitely a little virus all of its own! Once you got Norton on yer rig, if you really don't know what you are doing, you've got it forever.

I took a hard look at Shaw's package, but when I got to the part where it said it couldn't operate if there was any remnant of other anti-virus software, firewalls etc., I realized that the Shaw programmers really didn't know what the fuck they were doing so I high-tailed it out of that site.

By the way, has anyone been suspended by Shaw (non-Extreme) this year yet? I have gone over the 20 GB limit January and February already; 73 GB traffic in January and so far 54 GB in February. I was already suspended one week in October and two weeks in December. At this rate, I expect to be suspended for two weeks in February, but that hasn't happened yet.

Oh well, maybe they'll cut me off the whole month of March!
